Sue looked up and saw, looming over her, the infamous Kraven the Hunter, standing with a rifle at his hip. She scrambled backwards, throwing her hands and a forcefield between herself and the supervillain.

Kraven made a casual nod. "Mrs. Susan Richards. I had thought that disturbance off in the distance might have been the famous Fantastic Four. But where are the other three?" He took a step forward, only to be brought up short by the invisible edge of her shield. "Have you lost them? Perhaps I could be of assistance."

"Stay back! I'm warning you!" she said, rising on one knee, trying to conceal the unsteadiness she still felt, the warm tingling the scent of the flowers had spread through her body.

He cocked his head. "Or perhaps they have lost you? Again, I may be of assistance. I have a radio in my camp. You could contact them, or anyone else you might please. Of course, I would require something in...exchange."

"What do you want?" she said.

"To hunt the invisible, that is true hunter's challenge. A challenge I have not had the opportunity to face," he said, running his hand across the invisible shield. "But to hunt, and not to be even able to touch your quarry, it does not seem fair, no? So, I shall hunt you. To capture, not to kill. To kill would be a...terrible waste." His eyes swept up and down her body, taking in her curves, the flesh exposed by the rents in her jumpsuit. "If you elude me until sundown, you may have use of my radio. But if you use your **** fields, you will forfeit the hunt."

"No," she said, rising to her feet. "If I do this, you will let me use your radio, win or lose."

"But then, what are the stakes for you, my dear?" he said. "What prize do you offer Kraven?"

Something about the tone in his voice, the look in his eyes, suggested one course of action, and the desperation and the slight fuzziness and the heat she felt made it sound almost reasonable. Sue cocked her hips, looked Kraven in the eyes, and lowered her voice. "Me. My body. One night, to do what you will." She licked her lips. "Does that prize tempt you, Mr. Kravinoff?"

Kraven smiled slightly. "I have been a long time in the jungle, Mrs. Richards. It does. It does indeed." He nodded. "Very well. I shall give you an hour..." he trailed off as he realized he was addressing an empty field. He took a step forward, found no resistance, and turned his head to catch the faint sound of feet swishing through grass. "You will be a fine prize, Mrs. Richards!" he called out.
