What's next?
The truth about all. Poison Ivy dies and is reborn as something new.
When Ivy opened her eyes, she saw herself in paradise again. The most beautiful jungle she had ever seen. She was surrounded by trees that were so high that even sunlight could not penetrate them. The forest was bathed in a breathtaking green that made it seem as beautiful as it was scary. She as mistress of the plants, as link of nature and man was astonished because she did not even know half of these plants here. Some seemed to shine from the inside out, others closed their beautiful flowers hardly that she came closer only to open them again. Nowhere seemed even the slightest sign of human civilization. If it had given her the greatest pleasure a few months ago, it was different now. Where was Bruce? What had happened to her? She still remembered darkly.... A something.... Something big... something that had made her ears ring. Something that had scared her. And then... She looked at her hands in horror. They were her human hands again. But she was sure that she had stood there as a werewolf... yes to what? A stone? No... it had been worked on... with signs... A gravestone!
Besides, she suddenly noticed that she was dressed in a ball gown. It shimmered in green velvet and red silk and as far as she could see it was the most beautiful dress she had ever worn. Still, the joy lasted only very briefly as the confusion towered over her.
"Do not be afraid my dear child." She heard a familiar male voice behind her and as if she had somehow guessed it, Martha Wayne and Thomas Wayne stood there and smiled at her.
"Again... a ghost appearance" she asked uncertainly but Thomas shook his head.
"Not really Miss Isley. We decided to go ahead and put the protection of the most important thing in our life in your hands."
"PROTECTION? Is Bruce in danger?" she screamed in panic and looked around. "I have to see him! Must protect him.... And... stop? Why me?"
"Because you are chosen my beautiful flower child." Martha smiled and gently touched her cheek. Ivy wanted to back away until she remembered that the two had long since been dead. So she enjoyed the gentle, tender touch on her cheek and felt clearly what had been so abruptly denied her in recent years.
"We know exactly who you are Pamela Isley... the Poison Ivy." Then Thomas smiled and nodded gently. "We know what suffering you have brought about the city of Gotham and our son. But as it is and always must be in the cycle of all things. Nothing is what it was and everything will be what it was meant to be." He said cryptically and Pamela looked ashamed to the ground.
"Don't worry about what once was Pamela. We entrust you with our greatest treasure. The most precious thing we have."
"Bruce." She said and was surprised herself how soft her voice sounded. "It's crazy... A year ago I would have killed him with joy... and now... I can't be without him anymore! I may never be able to experience the joys of birth but I can enjoy the gentle embrace of another person again. I could not bear it if someone would take that away from me!
" she does not know it yet dearest!" Martha smiled surprised and went back to her husband who gently embraced her and nodded. "Do we want to please her?
"What does that mean?" Ivy asked confusedly.
"Well I said we bequeath to you the protection of our greatest treasure. But that wasn't just our son. But also his successors. The descendants who grow up in you." Thomas smiled very gently and Ivy stood there as if she had been struck by lightning. Not a single lightning bolt... dozens of lightning bolts. ALL THE LIGHTNINGS THERE HAD EVER BEEN. Unable to even move or to change her face, she just stared at the two people and only when the two laughed out loud, undoubtedly because of their very stupid facial expressions, did everything come over her. Unable to hold herself a second longer, she stormed both of them and hugged them. She couldn't hold back the tears. Highly corrosive acid flowed over her flawless skin and fell to the ground where the toxin living in her immediately destroyed all life, only to blossom again immediately. Martha and Thomas took her gently in their arms and let all the pent-up feelings break their way free.
After an eternity she looked up and wiped away the tears, which of course had no effect on herself. "I... will become a Mother!" she sobbed full of joy and Martha nodded and kissed her forehead.
"I'm sure our boy will be an excellent father. And you will be a wonderful mother. Unfortunately we won't experience this wonderful day anymore." She sighed sadly. "I would have loved him to let a child into his heart without him seeing betrayal and deceit in it like Damien did."
"What?! NO! You must see it! You are his parents! I want you to see it! I want your blessing" she complained suddenly when she realized what the two spirits had meant so far. Behind them she saw something mighty. A wall of wafting semi-transparent energy. Whatever this force field was... she felt eternity in it. And a new beginning. The end. That which lay beyond the end.
"We must now go Pamela. We can no longer protect our Bruce. Not from what lies before him. But we have one last gift for him." Said Thomas as his feet came off the floor and he slowly slid through the force field and his wife also started to float and looked down at her.
"We give him knowledge, wisdom and kindness..."
Ivy stood there and felt a single tear run down her cheek again. Neither happiness nor sadness were the trigger. But the unbridled feeling of pride that these two people had chosen her for.
For some time she stood there and watched as the force field slowly dissipated as she heard a crack behind her. She looked over her shoulder and felt her eyes widen.
There stood a werewolf. But what a werewolf. Bruce was already huge, but this wolf was incredible. He was at least 20 feet tall and his fur was as black as Bruce's, but with a noble looking grey tint. This wolf was old and noble. She couldn't think anything else when she looked at him as he came at her on all fours after he had come out of the forest in full size. Even on all fours he was as tall as she was and looked into her eyes effortlessly without having to lift his head. These eyes were different from the eyes of the beasts Bruce had brought with him. Probably also different from her own before she came to her senses. She could see warmth, gentleness, kindness and wisdom in the eyes. But she also saw in it savagery, greed, lust for murder and the desire to fuck her immediately. It was like a scale. Neither side had the upper hand. It was a perfectly balanced being and that made it beautiful for Ivy. She timidly stretched out one hand and stroked through the grey fur below the muzzle and felt his rough tongue on her skin. She knew that her journey would now begin and that this wolf would be her guide.
"I am ready to learn" she said gently and put her forehead to the forehead of the wolf. It looked almost ridiculous as her little head leaned against this skull but he accepted the gesture and dissolved into a vortex of colours, smells and emotions.
"What? she asked, frightened at having done something wrong out of fear, but before her she saw how the forest opened up to her. A long path lay before her but she felt only confidence as she walked along it. She could suddenly see places from the history of mankind to the right and left of the forest. She could see 2 brothers in Roman robes standing before the beginnings of a city.
ROM!
"Romulus and Remus! The founders of Rome! The wolf sons" she nodded. "So their legend is true! They were werewolves... but... why is the one so gentle and graceful... and his brother so wild and unrestrained?" She asked herself and pondered for some time. "Of course! They are twins. One of them has the wildness and the power of the wolf, the other one attains his wisdom and goodness... That's why it also came to a fight against each other" it finally came to her mind when the ruins of Rome dissolved and were overgrown by ovine and climbing plants. As she went on, she could see some Vikings competing with primitive axes and weapons against the mystical beast Fenris. The mighty wolf who would announce Ragnarok and be hunted down by Thor, the son of Odin.
"Fenris... mhm. a warning from ancient times! We truly have the power to ring in the end of all things. Considering how uncontrolled we spread out in Gotham..." she nodded and again the jungle devoured everything before it. She went on and saw a landscape that reminded her of Europe until she could see the mighty temple. Greece.
She saw a titanic being hurling a bolt of lightning at a man who immediately turned into a black werewolf. Did she see the beginnings of the curse here? Zeus?
"These were the beginnings that Bruce can understand." She suddenly heard at her side. There now stood a perfect copy of herself, only that this Poison Ivy was even more of a plant than she had been in her worst phases.
"You... are I?" she asked uncertainly but her reflection smiled as she shook her head.
"I am what you want to see and what your mind can accept."
"I think I can live with that. In the end I'll be like Harley." She nodded and smiled. "Why don't I think Zeus created us?" she finally asked and how to confirm she saw the scene overgrown by the jungle.
"Because it is your destiny to know." The woman smiled and walked towards an impenetrable row of trees that just opened up in front of her. Ivy followed her curiously and she could see a landscape behind it that she couldn't arrange. She could see savages hitting each other with stones and axes...
"This looks... old?" she just asked and the woman nodded.
"This is the beginning of your race. A race of beings that brought a new form of intelligence to this world. And a new danger. The first of your kind lived in harmony with nature and lived as they should, but they had the urge to be more innate than they were yesterday. Something I have come to appreciate. But then your paths changed."
She could see a beautiful fairy tale kingdom. Gigantic ships floating in the sky and an island full of technical wonders and things she couldn't explain. "What is this place?" She asked curiously and looked at this harmonious paradise.
"This is Atlantis. The cradle of your civilizations. All knowledge mankind has ever attained has its origin there. Even today you live far behind what the Atlanteans discovered in their golden age. But even when they had attained all knowledge they were insatiable. They searched for the last border. The knowledge of what comes afterwards."
"Death?" asked Ivy and watched as some Atlantians used some kind of crystal to tear a crack into reality. Around the crack, plants and trees immediately grew at unimaginable speed as an infinitely beautiful woman stepped out. " This woman must never meet my lover" Ivy growled to herself with jealousy.
"Thank you" the other Ivy just laughed in front of her and Ivy fell like a shed from her eyes. Of course! It couldn't be any different!
Suddenly she got on her knees and bowed her head in front of the other Ivy who looked gently down at her. "Gaia," Ivy breathed stunned up to her and couldn't believe that she could see nature in front of her. The spirit of life of planet Earth. The mother of the titans of Greek mythology."
"I chose my child well. But now come. We have to go on" she smiled gently and held out a hand so that she could stand up.
"I... I may hold your hand..." stammered Poison Ivy and hesitantly took her hand. When she held the gentle soft skin of Gaia, a warmth like nothing she had ever experienced before flowed through her. With wobbly knees she stood up and couldn't grasp what she was just experiencing.
"I spoke with the rulers of Atlantis because they were wise and intelligent. They recognized my wish and offered to fight that the last border would be safe for all tides. The king of Atlantis himself, King Lycan, offered me to become the defender of the border to make amends for his outrage. I accepted his noble sacrifice and gave him a power that would seek its equal in this world. But he knew that this power would have a price and would not be eternal. Like everything in life, King Lycan would age and yet die reborn to fulfill his work again."
"So you are the mother of the werewolves? I AM A Child From GAIA" it burst out of her and Harley would have been very pleased about this crazy jump Ivy did right now before Ivy remembered how crazy she was acting. "Sorry."
"Everything is a child of mine." She smiled but nodded. "I gave Lycan the power of the beast, knowing that he was able to control it. Many thousand years Lycan and all his incarnations were a worthy man who protected the Umbra against all enemies from outside, but also the world from the dangers of the Umbra. Even when he had to watch his former empire Atlantis being swept from the face of the world, he accepted it as the fate of every great nation. Many thousands of years later he lived in the land of mortals and had found a woman he loved. But she was taken from him by people he had never harmed. He begged me not to let her soul pass through the barrier, but to take him into the eternal circle of rebirth." Gaia sighed slightly.
"But... that wasn't her destiny right? Even you can't randomly change the cycle" Ivy asked gently and Gaia nodded.
"You understand it better than Lycan understood it then. He became blind from anger and revenge. If he had already lost his wife he would punish them for taking everything from him. But to his astonishment he passed on my gift. He created a new race. I told him to undo this mistake immediately but he refused my wish. He had not yet realized that his actions would corrupt him. I let him go and soon thousands of werewolves streamed across the world, destroying everything they saw and growing day by day. My gift... had become a curse. But then they attacked a place where they should never have gone. Even Lycan knew that this place was dangerous. Long time he had lost however the control over his kind and thus hundreds of werewolves attacked a place to which one calls Egypt today.
"Egypt? What happened" Ivy asked curiously and the forest before her eyes became sand and formed an endless desert. She could see how the pyramids were just about to come into being and thousands of people were about to build the oldest of all ancient masterpieces of architecture. Even though Ivy long ago despised the importance of human works, she could not escape the spectacle. The pyramids of Giza were beautiful.
"The Pharaoh saw disaster breaking upon his land and asked for the protection of a mighty warrior who lived in the desert.
Ivy was now curious what kind of warrior she meant. Maybe you could look for him in the fight against Dracula. But to her sheer horror she saw this one coming over a sand dune.
"Dracula.... That... .that is impossible! He CAN'T BE SO OLD" she stammered in horror and even the bare picture of Dracula made her stagger back. She could see how Dracula now led an attack against the hordes and her blood froze in her veins. How could they ever stop such a force of nature? Unable to move, she saw Dracula effortlessly switching between forms one worse than the other. Infinite mercy came into her head as she saw how he destroyed the werewolves. Even knowing that these beings had all been lost, they did not deserve such a death. And yet she knew that this had only been the beginning.
"He... has... wiped out... the... plague... at that time already or? she asked after she had vomited.
"He and my beloved Lycan were the last ones still standing. Dracula had lost his three brides and his 13 children in the war and Lycan had lost almost all of his children. Nodded Gaia and one could recognize an ancient fortress. Purple lightnings flashed across the sky as Dracula and Lycan fought against each other. To their astonishment, however, Lycan was able to keep up with the vampire. The wounds of the werewolf closed even faster than those of Bruce and any other werewolf she knew. His claws shredded Dracula a thousand times and you could see how even this legendary monster looked exhausted. The fight was fascinating and frightening at the same time. Powers that simply didn't belong in this world fought a battle for even ones. Again and again cracks opened up in reality from which werewolves or .... Others... terrible things streamed in to protect Lycan. But everything was in vain. She saw how the Dracula in one last daring attack succeeded in tearing Lycan's head from his shoulders and exhausted goes to the ground afterwards.
"Even he has limits," she breathed reverently and then saw Dracula take the body of Lycan and grant him a burial of a king. However, she was surprised. She had not thought that Dracula would do such a thing. Bruce spoke of him as a man of honor but she had seen Talia and Zatanna in action. Two crazy lunatics with uncanny powers. Should Dracula be so different?
"Why do you show me that?" she finally asked.
"To prepare you for the end." Gaia said gently.
"Ragnarök" she asked uncertainly and Gaia smiles.
"That is up to you my children. You know what you have to do. You always knew. Because you have always been here" she smiled and could see how the soul of Lycan wanted to pull back into the umbra but before he could do this Zeus was prevented this and locked his soul up.
When everything was over she could see herself there. The way she would look if Poison Ivy wasn't green. She stared at a human version of herself in simple yet beautiful linen robes.
"Have no fear my beloved Lycan. One day we will all be reunited again. It's our destiny."
"WUHUUUUU YEEEHAHHAHAHAA" a crazy Harley jumped to her side wearing the clothes of a jester. "And then we'll have all the fun this stupid pointed tooth man denied us right Red?!"
"Let's go my faithful friend. We'll sleep long," Ivy smiled at them and both dissolved into light as they slid into the umbra. Ivy stood there and watched. So that was it... It had been their destiny. From the hour of her birth this had been her fate. It was as if an infinite load of her falling away as finally her whole life, all her deeds and crimes, made sense. She spread her arms and, smiling, closed her eyes as she felt something enter her. It was as if she was finally complete again. It was an indescribable feeling to know that she had reached the end of her journey. Finally with herself at peace. Feeling that there was not only one side to follow. There were always ways and paths that would open to one. When she opened her eyes again she smiled as she saw the rising sun in front of her. In her glow stood a feminine figure. Like a glimmer of hope of a new day, she was enveloped in light and nodded gently towards the figure.
"There will be a better way than Ragnarok Gaia." She smiled at the goddess who stood by her side. "I can see her! She has arrived in Gotham."
Gaia nodded and nodded to Ivy. "I have hope Poison Ivy." She smiled gently but Ivy turned gently and with a movement of her hand a portal opened into the real world. She was now so much more than Ivy.
"Poison Ivy is no more." She said before she walked through the portal. She was needed in the world. Bruce needed her. And Power Girl needed her too. And soon Bruce and Dracula would realize what she already knew. That hope had returned to Gotham. The hope of restoring balance and ending the fight between them. Because that neither side was allowed to win was now clear to her. Because the world needed the werewolves and the world needed a creature like Dracula.
When she regained consciousness at the grave of Bruce's parents, she opened her eyes and gently stroked the letters with her claw.
" I swear by my life to protect your son as you have protected me." She said gently and rose. With slow steps she went back into the house where the others were still panic-stricken or ready to rush after Bruce but when she landed in the room with a huge leap and straightened up with an almost supernatural grace the other werewolves looked up to her and calmed down immediately.
"Well Red have you finally recognized it?" asked Harley with her wild growling voice and got a nod.
"United... like old times." She said gently and Harley howled joyfully at the moon. "LIKE IN OLD TIMES" she howled and the other wolves couldn't help but tune into this howling when she heard Pamela's soft voice.
"Wait here. I will go to Bruce."
With these words she turned around and jumped out of the window again to run into the forest. The other wolves, on the other hand, felt calmed in a pleasant way. She knew what she was doing and something had changed about her. She was now more than one of a pack. She was Bruce's companion. She was the companion of the Alpha.
Harley yelled "Snap her RED!" afterwards and then looked at the others and licked her muzzle. "SO! I am the best friend of her! Who wants be nice to me so i ask her who gets Bruce first?" she laughed just to see all the female wolves stare at her with an unbearable need.
"WOOPSY! Stupid idea" she shouted before all the female werewolves threw themselves on her and tore to the ground. The male werewolves, however, grinned at this female ball and it was Jason who grabbed one of Harley's legs and pulled on it. At first she was quite happy about it but then she saw the giant tail of the werewolf just speeding towards her pussy. With a loud scream she looked at the werewolf who had once been Jason and screamed lecherously with lust.
"Who has fucked first all cocks gets BRUCE" she screamed and now it was the male wolves panic to look as the females immediately reacted.
