"Sorry, but it's better for John to stay the whole time." Dr. Gonzales answered. "That way we can keep an eye on him, in case some unexpected complications happen."

"Oh." John's mother sighed disappointed. She would have loved her son to stay home between the surgeries. But it couldn't be helped.

"Now then let's get started." Dr. Gonzales stood up and shook John's and his mothers hands. "A nurse is getting you soon. Then, after a good sleep, you'll awake here with a little more weight on your chest." He left the room and a nurse entered. She wheeled John with his bed to the operating room, where John got his anesthesia and fell asleep after a few seconds.
