What Is Beyond the Black Door?

Lois and Maria stepped through the Black Door into a kind of hallway, dark and cramped. Music beat dimly somewhere beyond, the bass reverberating up through the floor. The door closed behind them and the darkness was almost absolute. Maria's hand slipped into Lois' own, and she gave the other woman a squeeze as they continued on in the darkness. The air was getting warm...humid...and the scent came of sweat, human bodies, and the overreaching odor of sex...

They turned a corner...and looked out onto a sea of lust.

Red lights provided enough light to see by, but there were dark shadows that lent a weird chiaroscuro effect. The club was set up in three descending levels, squares leading down to a pit, like an amphitheater. Each level had its own bar, its own waitresses—nude women whose bodies were painted with stripes so they could be marked out from the guests.

The levels were themed...the uppermost level, where Lois and Maria were at, had mostly couples, drinking and pawing at each other at the tables and benches. The next level down was standing room only, the attention focused on the entertainment—twelve live sex shows on small stages. Lois leaned over the railing, staring down at a cowboy in chaps and Stetson humping a girl that was naked save for cow-ears and cow-tail. Below that, the lights were dimmed so much Lois could barely see, but it looked like the clubgoers were entertaining themselves...the reporter noticed a couple gloryholes, a public toilet, men and women in stocks letting themselves be used...and in the center, the pit...

...Lois thought it was a mosh at first, but the squirming bodies weren't dancing. They were fucking. A single, gigantic, uncoordinated orgy of flesh, a beast with hundred backs, packed together, spent lovers being ejected, fresh meat grabbed and drawn in...

"Looks like my kind of party," Maria screamed into Lois' ear. The din was deafening. "What do you want to do first?"
