What is your decision?
Rush into the battle
You know that attacks come in waves and the very first one may be your best chance to get some easy XP. First monsters are really weak. All you need to do is to kill some and then you can retreat back to safety letting high level adventurers to deal with high level monsters.
You run out your your uncle's and head to the closest gate - the southern one. It takes you less than a minute to arrive there, just to meet a group of goblins that enjoy setting village houses on fire and killing innocent bystanders without any resistance at all "Typical. " You sigh. Adventurers never can organize themselves. Looks like everyone of those morons rushed to two other gates leaving this direction completely unprotected.
At least you have some time before the second wave will arrive. You can count only 15 goblins and they look pathetic: unarmored, armed only with knives and torches, about two times shorter than you are. Part of you wants to kill all them and grab the experience before anyone come here. On other hand... You are inexperienced in all this fighting and they have an overwhelming numerical advantage.
Wait, attack or maybe retreat?
You come into being as a low-level monster, the kind heroes chew through like popcorn. You know the drill, whether you're a player yourself or an artificial intelligence, and you're sick of it. You set out on your own quest: to defeat the heroes at any cost (or at least be an epic boss somewhere down the line).
