Better off to sneak through the mountains

With your decision made you set off towards to rocky highlands, the hike might be a bit more difficult but once you get through it should give you a straight shot right to the mountain.

You look down and take some time to admire the blade you now hold in your hand, it's a magnificent piece of work. The cross guard has some strange runes inlaid in its silver surface and the blade has been polished to a mirror shine. It's not just its looks either, you pull a small piece of hair from your head and drop it at the edge and to your surprise it slices the hair right down the middle "damn, wouldn't wanna be on the business end of this thing" you mumble to yourself, sheathing the blade and bracing yourself as the trail slowly gets steeper and steeper.

As you make your way up the trail you notice the terrain slowly start to turn from the mossy, green state of the forest to a baren and rocky landmass. Your muscles are aching and your mouth is bone dry as you stop to rest against a large boulder, you've been hiking for feels like hours "what... I wouldn't do.." You pant "for... Some wat.." You're quickly cut off however as a bolt of lighting flashes across the sky accompanied by rumbling Thunder.

You somehow managed to not notice the large dark clouds approaching from behind you, your wish is quickly granted however as a torrential downpour suddenly begins all around you. A smile spreads across your face as the cold water hits your aching body, you look up and open your mouth catching the droplets and letting them quench your thirst. Your moment of relief is ruined however as you realize the storm is only getting worse, you should try and seek some shelter.

You spot a large cave just a small distance away on the side of the mountain it seems to be your best option so you make haste towards the entrance.
