Brandon tries

Brandon leaned down from the armchair towards his beautiful blonde girlfriend and placed a hand on her shoulder, drawing her attention.

"Do you mind if we have a chat now?" Brandon asked.

Ashley smiled but shook her head.

"Sorry, I was gonna go take a shower now," she replied. "I feel all grungy from my nap."

Not to mention that she hadn't taken a shower in a whole day, in which time she'd sex multiple times, with two separate guys, one of whose cum still layered her tits. But she wasn't going to tell Brandon that.

Brandon balked at being dismissed. Was she actively avoiding talking to him, he wondered. He tried another approach.

"After your shower," Brandon suggested. "We can talk then."

"Oh, I wanted to go into town to get a few things." She said. "Zack said he'd take me."

"Zack?" Brandon repeated, Chloe's warning flashing in his mind. "If you want to go into town, why don't I take you?"

"Well, Zack already offered," Ashley shrugged. "It seems weird to turn around and say 'no thanks' now."

"Isn't it weird that he's taking you at all?" Brandon said, trying to keep his voice low. He didn't want to cause a scene in front of everyone and he didn't want Zack hearing their conversation. "I should be taking you. I'm your boyfriend."

"What's weird about it? It's not like we have to do everything together, Brandon. Weren't you just down at the lake with Chloe and Lisa?" Ashley hissed.

"Er..." Brandon's mind blanked. Mostly because when Ashley brought up the lake, he remembered Chloe and Lisa both losing their tops, and how he had seen their exposed tits. He couldn't pretend that his day by the lake had been entirely innocent."That's not the same...there were other people there."

"And there will be other people in town as well." Ashley argued. "Besides, you hate going around shops with me. You're always so bored. I thought you'd have been glad of an out."

"Yeah, but why Zack? Why not one of the girls?"

"If you want to blame anyone, blame Heather and Chloe. If they hadn't pulled their prank, I'd have been well rested and could have went into town with Heather when she went to the clinic," Ashley lied. "But since Zack offered now, I'm gonna go in with him."

"But..." Brandon tried to continued.

Ashley cut him off, "Brandon, enough. I don't know why you're being so possessive all of a sudden. If you want to have a talk, then we can talk when I get back from town."

She stood up and looked down at him.

"Right now, I'm off to take my shower."

Watching her leave, Brandon was dumbstruck. That hadn't gone at all how he'd intended. Everyone was looking around now, even Zack, noticing how Ashley had swept out of the room. He smiled sadly and rose from the armrest. Everyone else was making plans for the evening, but he just wanted to be alone.

Brandon retreated to the room he shared with Ashley and flopped down onto the mattress. He could still smell her scent on the sheets; a fragrance so sweet and familiar that one whiff had him getting hard. He sighed, knowing that with the way things were between them at the moment, he wouldn't be having sex tonight.

Lying in the bed, Brandon began to relive the conversation over in his head. It wasn't something he usually did. At least with Ashley, he'd always said the right thing, or she'd always knew what he meant. After two years they'd built up an understanding. Now, after two days, it felt like that understanding was crumbling away.

Had he been too possessive? Perhaps he should have just let her go to town and suggested talking when she got back. Would he even have a problem with her going had it not been for the mention of Zack's name? Would he even be wary of Zack if it wasn't for Chloe?

Chloe...it had seemed like something was building between Chloe and Zack earlier in the week. Then something happened that pissed her off. What was that? Since then, Chloe hadn't exactly made life easy for him. Zack had gotten lost looking for her and when he sent word of his well-being to Chloe, she deliberately hid it from the rest of the group. Which led to the big question: was Chloe's warning genuine or just another way of messing with Zack?

Brandon exhaled deeply and rubbed his forehead. He didn't really know what to think or who to believe. A couple of days ago, this would have been easy. Ashley was his girlfriend and Zack was his friend; he could trust them implicitly. But something was different about Ashley lately and everyone else, Zack included, seemed to know what it was.

Rolling over onto his side, Brandon's eyes fell on Ashley's phone and he had a horrible, traitorous idea. What if she was talking to someone, messaging someone online? Perhaps it was an emotional affair that everyone was aware that she was having. But to actually look through her phone...that would be completely disloyal and disrespectful of her privacy.

His hands were shaking as he reached over and grabbed her phone. He knew her combination so he could easily get in. But this was a line that he was crossing and he felt uneasy about doing it. Worse, it didn't pay off. He looked through her messages, texts and social media but it was all normal. No illicit conversations, no strange men, nothing.

He should have been relieved but all he thought was that this meant that it wasn't an internet thing. Ashley was up to something in the real world, which meant it had to be happening at this cabin, behind his back.

Another terrible, treasonous idea came to him. He could clone her phone to his, allowing him to listen in to her conversations through her mic and maybe even watch her through the camera. He remembered reading a story about a woman who'd used cloning software on her husband's phone to catch him cheating. But Brandon felt sick just thinking about it.

Could he really betray Ashley's trust like this?
