They head down to the lake two by two

Zack was already dressed in his beach wear. He'd been wearing it the previous day when he got lost and changed back into it when Lisa brought him to the cabin. So all he had to do was throw on a fresh tee-shirt. Kurt changed quickly and then the two of them headed down together.

"So, I hear you had sex with Chloe," Zack said cautiously as they walked the path down to the lake.

Kurt laughed. "Is this the big brother talk?"

"Huh?"

"You know, like, 'if you ever hurt her, I'll Liam Neeson ya'," Kurt explained.

Zack smiled and shook his head.

"Nah, man, after what I did, I have no right to get mad at anyone for hurting Chloe," Zack said. "I think I've hurt her more than anyone."

"Yeah, she's been pretty torn up ever since you abandoned her. And anytime you've been in the same room since." Kurt replied, and then, with a smirk, added, "Not that I'm complaining. I've been reaping all the rewards."

"So it's happened more than once?" Zack asked.

"Yeah," Kurt admitted. "And not just with Chloe."

Zack stopped and looked at Kurt, trying to gauge if this was just him bullshitting or being serious. "Who?"

"Oh, uh, Heather," Kurt said, smiling to himself. He thought about telling Zack about his romp with Ashley but decided he'd save that bullet for later. He wanted to see Ashley's face when Zack found out, and he wanted Zack to see Ashley's face and know it was true. That would be gold.

"You're doing well for yourself then," Zack said, starting to walk again. "Are you serious about either of them?"

Kurt shrugged.

"Getting serious seems like a bad idea. Look at Ashley and Brandon; one of the most serious relationships of the group is completely broken and messed up at the minute. Even you and Chloe started to get serious and then it fell apart," he said. "It just seems to make thing worse rather than better, and right now I'm just interested in have some fun, not causing problems for myself."

"Yeah, that's probably wise," Zack said, thinking of the complexity of his own situation. "It's better to stay out of it."

"So what about Lisa?" Kurt asked. "You sunk your dick in that pussy yet?"

"What? No," Zack replied quickly. Too quickly in fact, because it roused Kurt's suspicions, and he looked at Zack inquisitively. "Ok, well, she did want to fuck last night but I stopped myself."

"Aw, what the fuck, man, why?"

"You have to ask? If Ashley found out I was fucking my ex-girlfriend while she was out all night looking for me, she'd think I was scum." Zack said. "It's like you said, I want this trip to be fun. I don't want to leave a trail of pissed off girls in my wake. I have to go to school with these people, you don't."

"This is why you don't commit Zachery," Kurt advised him. "And I don't think Ashley would be as upset as you imagine."

"What makes you say that?"

"Oh, just a vibe I get from her," Kurt said idly as they reached the lake shore. He pointed at a run down old shack. "That must be the shed they mentioned. Let's check for a ball."
