Wait Outside Pegasus House

By the time you break for lunch, you are feeling... slightly more confident in your chances of not being totally obliterated with no effort. You still have not won a match against Liam but your last game was close. Still, both of you and Keira were getting tired and hungry and using a second potion so early in the day seemed wasteful when normal food and liquid could do the job just as well.

At the same time, you still need to decide on your neutral party but can not figure out which would be the better option. Then you remember that, of the main two options you are considering, both live at Pegasus House so maybe your best bet would be to wait outside and see which fate decided to have pass your way first.

To that end, you grab one of the sandwiches being offered in the cafeteria (something called a "Monte Cristo") and eat half of it on the way to the (mostly) girls dorm. You are lost in thought, trying to think of exactly how to approach the situation once you get there and so your attention is not on the blonde comet that runs down the pathway and crashes right into you.

The momentum of the collision knocks you and whoever hit you off the path and behind a row of rose bushes, leaving you dazed for a moment (but still managing to keep hold of the second half of your lunch). As you return to your senses you feel the unexpected but not unpleasant weight of a woman laying on top of you. Given that the top of her head is adorned with twin pony tails, it seems you have your answer of what fate will bring you in an unexpected fashion.

"Ow..." Selena moans as she lifts her head up, her eyes widening as she sees you, "Oh, I'm sorry! I--"

She stops abruptly and lays herself flat against you, trying to keep low enough to not be seen over the bushes as she brings one of her hands to cover you mouth while bringing the other to her lips in a shushing motion, her eyes flicking from side-to-side nervously. You could easily throw her off and yet you do not. You are curious about what is going on and, if you are being honest with yourself, her body feels nice pressed against yours. She is very slender, like Amelia, but her chest feels at least a half cup-size larger. Unlike Amelia, she feels soft and warm in a much more... traditionally feminine way (for lack of a better term) and her hair and skin carry the mild scent of a flowery perfume.

You are drawn out of your musing by the sudden shout of what sounds like Mana's voice on the path. "Selena, get back here! Stop being a fussy baby and drink your Blackberry Kale Shake!"

At the incredulous look you shoot her, Selena silently emphasizes her request for silence with wide, pleading eyes. It is hard to resist that level of sad puppy dog eyes, so you keep quiet until you hear Mana continue down the path. After a minute of silence, Selena sits up, looking over the rose bushes like a prairie dog popping its head out of its hole. She does not seem to realize this also puts her in a position where her crotch rubs against yours and even though it is through all of your clothes, it still feels quite nice.

If she notices her position on you, Selena says nothing about it as she climbs off once she is certain the coast is clear. "Thank you so much for keeping quiet," she says, reaching a hand down to help you up, "she means well but her health shakes taste like... anti-health shakes. I know mom told her she wants me to eat better but why does she always have to overdo this kinda thing?"

She stops abruptly and sniffs the air before her gaze locks onto the half-sandwich in your hand. Her nose twitches at each of her sentences as she says, "Ham. Turkey. Gouda. Swiss. French Toast."

Selena's eyes dart up towards yours, a **** look in them as she appears to be on the verge of drooling. "Are you... going to eat that?" she asks with the kind of hopefulness one would normally reserve for finding water in a desert.

You look between the sandwich and Selena. "It is kinda my lunch," you say.

"Pleeeeeaaaaase," Selena all but whines, "I haven't had anything with actual flavor to it for two days! I think I'd do ANYTHING for just a bite!"

That certainly raises some unrealistic possibilities in your mind (though the knowledge that she's potentially bribeable with food seems worth keeping in mind) but you shake them off for now as you reply, "I was on my way here to ask you something anyway, so I'll give it to you if you promise to listen to a request I have."

"Me?" Selena asks in surprise but then quickly holds out her hand, "Sure, I'll listen. Now PLEASE hand it over!"

You chuckle at her single mindedness as you hand over the sandwich, Selena instantly digging in with gusto even as she listens to you explain the situation and your need for a neutral party.

"Maff eggfains saffing," she says as she shoves the rest of the bread into her mouth.

"What?" you ask.

Selena swallows and then repeats herself. "I said, 'that explains something'. Harmony was talking to Mana earlier today but Mana wouldn't tell me what it was about and then said she'd have something to do tonight, so I should stay in my room. So I guess you both had the same idea."

She then frowns and adds, "I wish she had told me in the first place it was something like this."

"So you'll go?" you ask.

"Sure," Selena replies, "I owe you for looking out for me at deflection practice so even though you're probably going to get your butt kicked, I'll make sure she does it fairly!"

"Thanks... I think."
