You're returned home

You find out that you were taken to Canada, the place Arlo had immigrated to after he lost his family in Mexico. You've been gone for an entire year, your father looking desperately for you. Your face had been plastered across every T.V screen and newspaper, along with a few boys you recognize from when you were first auctioned off. So far, you were the second to be found.

You stay in Canada long enough to bury Arlo and go to a hearing regarding his will. He's left everything to you, except his home in Mexico City, which he willed to his brother. Then you return to the States and your father.

He cries when he sees you again, pulling you into a hug. You cry as well, having missed him desperately in the time you were away. You find out that he hasn't touched a thing in your room since you left, the entire space covered in a layer of dust. And, as soon as he found out about Thomas and the little one in the oven, he converted his home office into a nursery. You tear up seeing it, happy to know that he wasn't going to leave you to your own devices. You begin to settle back down in your old home, both happy and sad with the recent events in your life. While you enjoy being home with your father, your heart aches to be with Arlo once more.
