Lisa has a plan

"I'll go in," Lisa volunteers, to the surprise of the group.

It's not that Heather and Lisa never got along, but they had never been close, even back when Zack and Lisa were a couple.

"Go away! Leave me alone!"

"Heather, it's me, Lisa. I'm coming in."

Heather lies on the bed, sobbing, her mascara running down her alabaster cheeks.

Taking a tissue paper Lisa starts cleaning her face, saying "You are the world's sexiest racoon right now," putting the other arm around Heather's shoulder.

"Why are you being so nice to me right now?" the suspicion drips from Heather's voice.

"Because in a lot of ways we're the same. Do you know the story of how we broke up?"

"Zack got drunk at a halloween party and lost his virginity to someone he thought was me. I dumped him, I dumped him because his crush on Victoria worried me."

"It worried me because my father cheats too, Heather."

"That's why you went along with Kurt's little game, isn't it, Heather? You didn't trust Zack, and you hurt him, just like I hurt him."

"I've regretted that every day since. I still !ove him, Heather, but now he can't trust me to stay. Just like he doesn't trust you to stay either, thanks to Kurt."

"But trust can be rebuilt. So now we're fuckbuddies unless I can convince him we're more."

"Do you love him, Heather? Here, let me make it easier for you. Do you think you could love him? Do you want to be with him? If so, I'll help you convince Zack to be fuckbuddies with you too, and we'll work on it becoming more."

"And why would you want to help me with that, Lisa?"

"I realized since the break up that I'd have been happier sharing him than without him at all. And I love him, I want him to be happy. If he ends up choosing me, I'm good. If he chooses us both, I'll still be happy. If he chooses you over me, I'll take comfort in knowing you're making him happy. And until then we both get lots of sex out of it, because I don't know about you but I plan on riding that boy like a pony."

Laughter barks out of Heather at that last bit.

"Look, not to rush you, but one of the girls could be consoling him with her vagina any moment now. If it's Chloe or Hannah, it's over. Zack and Chloe have practically been joined at the hip since they started teething. They'll go from 'Oops, you fell on my dick' to sending us Christmas cards with pictures of their cherubic grandkids in no time flat. And Hannah? He's had a crush on her for longer than Vicky, he'll follow her home like a stray puppy if we let that happen."

"So, are you in or out? Do you quit, or are you going to go after what you want with the gifts god gave you? And in your case he definitely gave with both hands," Lisa jokes.

"Hey, stop perving on me!" Heather laughs, at the very least Lisa succeeded in brightening Heather's mood.
