Akaba, a young treasure hunter

"Akaba!"

"Nakaba..!!"

It was too fast, at least for their reflexes. The duo tried to hold on to each other but were quickly swept away and flew into the sea.

"Akaba, catch!"

Before the paralyzed young adventurer could blink, his brother had thrown him the bag of loot they had accrued thus far; just a pitiful, small cloth that for the moment only had a pair of unremarkable earrings.

"Nakaba," the brother whipped his neck around, clutching the bag, "what--"

Before he could say anything more, he had fallen on wood, taking the air out of his lungs.

Luckily for him, he had managed to miraculously land on a sturdy little row boat. And seconds later, he lost consciousness, water raining over him.

"Hey, look..!"

"What is it?"

*gasp* "Is it a banana?"

*plonk* "No that's not a banana, dumbass! It's a boat!"

"Maybe it came from the wreck we passed earlier..?"

"Oh my... it looks like there's somebody on it."

"They don't have any oars either. Might be stranded."

"Yosh! To the banana!"

*numerous* "It's not a banana!"

When he came to, Akaba winced.

Groaning, he felt his head with his hand. Then he noticed the bandages wrapped around it, and blinked. He looked around, realizing where he was for the first time.

A... room?

A soft lurching rocked his bed, suddenly, and Akaba jumped.

...in a boat, he thought to himself. I'm on a ship.

Quickly, his confusion turned to panic.

But... what kind of ship? Whose? And what day is it..?? He suddenly noticed on the tabletop next to the bed the 'bag of loot' him and his brother owned. Right now, just wrapped over a pair of two-bit jewelry. So much for getting to the One Piece together...

Akaba's eyes widened. Nakaba!

He felt it like it was only moments ago...
