No, couldn't be, he was close to **** before and as helpfull as the Gamer's mind was, it probably also took away this near **** panic strength. Then what...

"What did you do?" Layklé asked. After blinking a few times, she repeated her question, now screaming.

"I did nothing. Honestly, I..." Then he understood and laughed. He laughed so hard he couldn't stop. In front of her, not in any need to take precautions. He even sat down in joy of what he now knew happened, very much to the displeasure of the still furious succubus in front of him.

"What the fuck did you..." She started another rampage.

"Nothing." He stopped her dead in her tracks. "I told you, I did nothing. You did. Phrasing, little demon. The agreement can not be broken unless it is our mutual wish to do so. That is what I said. Turning this spell into your energy would break it. You can't. Oh god, this is golden. Ha, just look at yourself, enslaving your very existance to me in a silly attempt to gain power. Oh dear, are you young."

He saw the realisation as well as panic creep itself into the succubus' expression, yet he couldn't fully enjoy it as he was distracted by a pop up message.

Basis: Deal with the devil

A fighting style that relies on the powers of others. Gain their strength and add them to your own, becoming a king of the underworld and ruling every monster there is. These are only steps on the road of a true Demon master. Using this style will disable you from learning any combat skills, unless through the powers of a subordinated monster.

All fighting skills will be lost and Deal with the devil will be replaced with Contract, Monster whisperer, Devils tongue, and Connected Souls

It wasn't even a question for John. He agreed, after all he had used this exact technic, turning your opponents into your servant twice already, if he considered Laura an opponent. This however triggered a full on **** of pop ups he had to deal with.

New skill: Contract, Level 1, 60 mp

Bind your foes to yourself by making them agree to it. You will gain a part of their powers. No contractor of yours can intentionally harm you in any way or form. Upon your ****, all your current contractors die alongside you. A contract may hold special agreements which have to be kept. It will be impossible for both you and your contractor to break the contract willingly. If it is broken by a third party or in an accident, the contract will be remade instantly without repercussions. Contracts made with beings who were unknowing of the contract before agreement are void and won't take effect.

You can understand any language unless it was made up by humans. You get a bonus in learning to speak, read and write in other languages.

New skill: Devil's tongue, Level 1, 15 mp

You get a boost to convincing people of something. This skill can not be used to convince someone to do something they had never even considered to do before.

New skill: Connected Souls, Level 1

You can gain an amount of mp or hp from your contracted subordinates. The amount you gain is being reduced from every subordinate respectively. If your subordinate does not have the amount of mp you are taking from them, they lose an amount of hp, equal to the missing amount of mp they should give. If your subordinates reach 0 hp through this skill, they will die instantly and can't be healed by any means.

New fighting style: Demon master style, Rank 1

Ranking up your fighting style will improve the abilities of all connected skills as well as unlock new ones. Your ranking can not be higher than the level of your lowest leveled connected skill. Your current ranking gives you the following bonus abilities:

• Contract: Cost reduced from 60 to 50 mp
• Monster whisperer: You gain one free language you will be able to read, speak and write fluently. See the skill description to select it.
• Devil's tongue: The skill can be used for half the cost if convincing someone of something they have already done before, or something very similar to it.
• Connected Souls: If a subordinate would die, you can decide to instead take leave it at 1 hp and take the remaining energy from all other subordinates. The price they must pay is doubled. This can only be used if at least 1 subordinate survives the skill

After going through all those messages, ignoring the furious succubus to an extend, John was dumbstruck. First, these abilities were all kinda great, but had their downsides. What really fucked him up, mentally, though, were the achievements. He did most of these things minutes ago. Why was he only gaining them now? He decided to postpone this investigation for later and decided to check his new inventory screen.
