Who's in Team 3?
Lauren Taylor and Sabrina Carpenter
Lauren Taylor was the next name. You had seen her a few times before, she ain't the kind a girl I'd expect doing this show, you tell yourself as you move on to the last name.
Sabrina Carpenter, the final name. She ain't the type a girl to do these things either, you say to yourself as a great big grin covers your face, I could make something from this you think as a devilish idea crosses your mind.
As you finish going over the script one last time the actors all make there way up to you. "Hi y'all I'm David, Dave for short if y'all'd like."
"Nice to meet you, Dave," Lauren says a smile that was her trademark, "So who's scene we gonna shoot first?" She asks tilting her head slightly.
"Cam's 'n' Karan's," you say pointing to the two boys who were joking around with each other. "The rest a y'all can go ta your sets and work on them stage directions," you tell them, and they all break away and your left with the two boys.
You make your way to the set and give the boys a bit of motivation and helpful hints that you learned when you were college. Team 2's set was based in a rain forest setting. A nice block of land just for the shoot that was an a full acre of land. Each spot had hidden cams to watch the teams and mics to pick up the rest of audio. All the ambiance would be digitally put in later. As the boys set up you start to shoot the scene.
All went really well in the first shoot. all the jungle scenes were filmed in two hours. It helps that the boys had a nice chemistry and had a month to prepare for the scene.you call it a cut for the day for the two boys. The both happily run off the set and the stage hands start to take down the set. It's amazin' how this all works, ya shootin' one minute 'n' the next ya gettin' a crew to take down a fake forest you think to yourself and admiring the power of studio magic.
Next scene would be Team one, Peyton and Peyton. Their team's shoot would be in a nice rock land area, also another feat of studio magic. It was essentially ten or twelve rocks and some fake foliage in front of a green screen. And during scene changes they would turn the rocks forty five degrees and they'd appear as new rocks. It was humbling to see, and it kind of also ruined every show you've ever scene ever.
The shoot doesn't go nearly as smoothly as the first, Peyton List kept forgetting her lines and improved most of them, but it unfortunately did not line up with what the script needed. And the Chemistry between the two was less than favorable. Overall it took just over five hours to finally make a cut that was more than "OK". You dismiss the two and tell them that they'd better work on the script next time and become better connected with each other or you'd find new stars to replace the two.
It was Just past 5 o'clock when you finally got to Lauren and Sabrina, who'd both taken the afternoon off to relax on the set. Their's was a small island and a beach front and a few other areas that were in the island forest. As you set up for the first shot you think of a great way to open their scene, and probably the whole pilot. You'll get Lauren, who was clad in a white T-shirt and a short shorts, to start half in the water and half on the beach. The camera would follow the young blonde up as she stood straight up. Making sure to get a nice shot of her beautiful full breasts. Sure it was pervy, but it was gonna get views no doubt. As you start rolling, you notice that Lauren doesn't seem to comfortable with they way they open the seen.
"Cut!" You yell hopping off your chair. "Lauren what's wrong?"
"Sorry, this is just a bit weird," the blonde slowly replies looking down.
In the background you can hear Sabrina snicker, clearly Sabrina was finding much amusement in her costars awkwardness. Lauren shot a glare at Sabrina and you could feel the heat of the stare without even looking at it.
"Alright that's a cut, y'all can go home, 'cept you two," you say looking at Sabrina and Lauren. As the rest of the crew leaves you eye the two girls over, who are both stand quite a bit away from each other. "Alright, you gals don't seem to be gettin' long all to well. Why it th't?" you ask standing in front of Sabrina. Her eyes are locked on the floor. "LOOK," you bellow, "We ain't got all month to get y'all shit together. I got ta have this episode done by Friday. THAT'S FOU' DAYS" you yell as you move in front of Lauren. "So we gonna finish shootin' this by t'morrow mornin' or y'all are off the show show. Got it?" They nod. "Good now as fo' the rest of the day we gonna work on some bondin' exercises and at the same time work on ya confidence. We good?" there's an awkward silence
"Yes Dave. Sorry Dave," Lauren says breaking the silence.
"Sorry Dave," Sabrina says slowly
"OK, thank you ladies." you say in easy tone.
