Seems like a true haunted house

"This place is amazing!" Lauren said as they pulled up. "It'll look so great on T.V.!"

"It's spooky." Frank, who was driving spoke.

"Exactly." Lauren chided him. "Spooky is what we want. Spooky gets the ratings, and keeps us all with jobs!" In front of the house Eliza Darling and her her husband Mark waited. Lauren had already had some correspondence with them, but this would be their first time actually meeting.

"I'll do the talking." Lauren said, exiting the car.

"Yeah, I'd figure." Frank said under his breath. The other two chuckled, then started unloading equipment from the car.

"Hello, I'm Lauren!" Lauren said sunnily. Eliza extended her hand, but Lauren ignored her and instead shook Mark's. "You must be the man of the house, Mark!"

"I guess." Mark said uncomfortably as Eliza glared at them. "Though really no one is in charge of this place! It's got a will of it's own!"

"That's... very interesting." Lauren said, eyeballing Mark. Ooh, he was a looker! Even more in person then from his photos online.

"I hear the skepticism in your voice." Eliza spoke coldly. "I will not try to pursaude you of the true nature of our home. You will find out in due course."

"Well, that is the idea of our show." Lauren said.

"No." Eliza said, in a tone that stunned Lauren. "You use your show to mock the deranged or attention starved. My husband and I are neither of these things. We are clear minded, intelligent people who have found something amazing."

"Well, we will see what the investigation finds." Lauren said, glaring at Eliza. What a cold bitch! Even worse that she was such a looker! "Anyways, let's get started."

As Lauren spoke the door to the house, as if on command, creaked open slowly.

"Okay, weird..." Lauren thought, getting goosebumps. Then she remembered the case she'd work where the door swung open via a switch the house owner had. Probably the same trick here! Lauren vowed to expose Eliza as a fraud, and made a little side vow to get Mark's number before she left.

Lauren and her crew, along with the married couple entered the dark, mysterious house...
