The fall of the Night's Watch

The Watch had been marching for weeks when they reached the Fist of the First Men. Then the wights came. The corpses overwhelmed the flanks of the Black Brothers and flooded their camp.

Ned emerged from his tent to chaos. Men were fleeing all around him, but through the chaos he saw Jon rallying a small group of Brothers around him and organizing a retreat. Ned picked up a sword and torch and began to cut his way through the wights.

Jon looked around him, watching as the corpses cut down the Watch. Turning towards the men he had rallied, he blew the horn for a full blown retreat and ran towards the Wall as quickly as he could.
