The days leading up to midweek slipped by in a haze. Every morning just after six, my alarm dragged me from sleep, the initial shock always identical: the biting cold of the stainless-steel collar driving into my pubic bone. At the gym, her routine forced me through squats and walking lunges where every extra inch of depth drove the small tubular casing straight against raw tissue. Afterward came lugging groceries home on foot, scrubbing floors, and finally sitting before Loona’s laptop. With numb fingers, I drafted condescending replies to strangers on X, collected tributes across her findom channels, and watched balances roll into accounts I wasn't permitted to spare a thought on.
By Thursday afternoon, the delicate routine came within an inch of unraveling.
Loona had decreed that dinner was to be prepared entirely naked. Heat rose from the burners, the soft hiss of garlic and vegetables filling the kitchen, when the buzzer pierced the air—followed immediately by the scrape of a key working the front door latch.
My chest hitched. Freezing panic flooded my veins. Far too early for Loona.
Ripping a large tea towel from the counter, I gathered it around my waist and ducked behind the kitchen door, heart knocking hard against my ribs. Firm footsteps were already striking across the hallway parquet.
"Hello? Anyone home?" a bright, melodic voice called out.
A breath later, Vanessa turned the corner.
Draped in a tailored wool coat over a fitted knit dress, her styling impeccable, she pulled up short in the doorway with an amused smile. As always, she looked remarkably put-together—in her late thirties, carrying herself with an effortless polish that regularly led strangers to mistake her for Loona’s older sister rather than her mother and my stepmother.
Her eyes drifted down: bare feet, bare chest, fingers clenched around the makeshift drape at my waist, beneath which the bare metal sat dangerously close to exposure.
"John?" she asked, breaking into a low laugh without the faintest trace of awkwardness. "God, don't give me a heart attack! Were you cooking in your birthday suit?"
"I… shirt had a stain, was just grabbing a clean one," I stammered, heat rushing all the way to my temples.
Vanessa waved it away with an amused flick of her wrist, slipping off her coat and tossing it across the back of a dining chair. "Save the excuses, I know how you live. Loona said to let myself in if I was nearby. Thought I'd finally see how the two of you settled in."
She drifted into the living area, taking in the high cornices, trailing fingers across the sideboard before sinking into the couch cushions with an extended exhale. Stretching her legs straight out, her feet rested in sleek, calf-high leather boots still holding the chill of the Berlin autumn wind.
"God, I've been running around since seven," she groaned, tilting her head back against the cushion, looking across with that familiar, expectant smile. "John… be an angel. These heels are killing me. You know how good your hands are."
It carried the identical offhand cadence from the old apartment—that effortless assumption with which she routinely turned my compliance into an everyday convenience.
Swallowing dryly, I held the cloth tight with one hand and stepped toward the couch, my groin flaring. Every stride proved an ordeal, the rigid ring grinding hard against bone with every shift of weight. Dropping to the parquet in front of her, I carefully pulled down the zippers of her boots and eased the supple leather from her heels. Her feet rested in sheer black nylons, warm and lightly scented.
Without hesitation, she propped both heels squarely onto my thighs. The tips of her toes grazed within inches of the bunched cotton guarding the steel.
"Firm on the balls of the feet, John," she instructed smoothly, letting her eyes flutter shut. "Right there… oh yes. You haven't lost your touch at all. Ever since you two moved out, I've missed this."
Setting my thumbs to work, I ground firm circles into the arches of her soles, kneading out the knots while my breathing turned short and strained. Beneath the fabric, the narrow tube pulsed under Loona’s lock, while her mother rested comfortably on my lap, entirely unaware, as the low hiss from the stove marked down the minutes to the next demand.
Vanessa let out an extended, deep sigh that sounded remarkably close to a moan of pleasure. Tossing her head back, her fingers sank into the plush cushions as my thumbs worked deep into the tissue along her soles. The silky nylon made a faint, steady whisper against my palms with every stroke.
"God, John…," she breathed, her voice dipping into a husky, velvety cadence that cut straight through me. "You have no idea how much I've missed this. Ever since you moved out, nobody touches me like this after a brutal day. You just instinctively know where the tension sits."
Inside, pure chaos took hold.
Fear sat in my throat like lead. At any second, the thin tea towel could slip. If she opened her eyes, if her gaze dipped just a few inches lower, she would see the bare, unvarnished steel—the narrow tubular cage, the heavy padlock, the angry, bruised swelling along the base of my pelvis. What would she say? Would she recoil in disgust? Would she realize her own daughter had conditioned and locked me down like a stray? The thought alone seized my chest.
Yet underneath that paralyzing dread lurked a shame so scalding and illicit that blood pounded at my temples.
Here I knelt before my stepmother. Naked except for a loose scrap of cloth, head bowed, while she stretched out across the sofa and draped her legs across my lap. The warmth of her heels pressed through the fabric, millimeters off the cold casing. Every instinctive surge of blood, every reflex triggered by the scent of expensive perfume, nylon, and warm skin was crushed flat against the rigid boundary. Not a fraction of room existed. The arousal banked internally, a trapped, molten pressure with nowhere to vent, curdling into pure, rhythmic ache.
Vanessa’s eyes drifted open. Her lids were heavy, amber irises carrying a playful, provocative edge as she looked down the length of her legs. Drawing her right foot back slightly, she dragged the nylon-clad tip of her toe slowly up the center of my bare chest—inch by inch, over my ribs, halting just beneath my chin.
"Tell me…," she purred, her lips curving into a suggestive smile. "You seem terribly wound up, big guy. Your pulse is racing. Are you only working your back at the gym, or do you have any other outlet for all that tension?"
I went completely still. Her toe rested against my throat, persistent, almost affectionate. My heart kicked so violently against my ribs she had to feel the tremor through her sole.
"Just… trying to stay in shape," I managed, voice barely above a dry croak.
"Is that so?" she countered with amusement. Her gaze drifted deliberately over my shoulders, taking in the rigid lines of muscle before tracking downward, settling squarely on the bunched fabric my white-knuckled fingers were holding together. A knowing, teasing glint flared in her expression. "Almost a shame you're hiding behind a kitchen towel. You were never this bashful around me back then. If I weren't your stepmother… well. A woman could easily get used to having such an eager, handsome young man around the house, anticipating her every whim."
Turning her head, Vanessa rested her cheek against her palm, letting out an extended, faintly frustrated breath.
"Your father is off on that never-ending job site in Stuttgart again," she muttered, a sharp, restless edge threading her tone. Her eyes wandered over my tense shoulders and bare torso without the slightest pretense of modesty. "Two weeks alone in that massive flat. I swear, John… I'm completely starved for touch. Sometimes I practically forget what it feels like to have an actual man be there for a woman, taking his time."
She broke into a dry, husky laugh, nudging the nylon toe slightly firmer into the hollow of my collarbone, as if savoring every trace of my visible unraveling.
"At least I still have you, don't I? The only one in this family who actually knows how to handle me so I can feel something."
The raw directness of it hit like an electric shock, choking off whatever words remained. Here I was, clamped into freezing metal, while my father's wife—the woman who had practically raised me—used me as a canvas for her domestic frustrations, entirely oblivious that the young man she was casually working herself up against didn't even retain ownership over his own skin.
Every nerve cried out against the narrow lattice, yet the rigid ring only bit deeper into raw bone. It was an impossible tangle of helplessness, guilt, and scorching, forbidden heat that threatened to tear me apart from the inside, while she closed her eyes once more and settled back luxuriously against the cushions.
The rush of heat to my face left me light-headed. The casual innuendo, this offhand, illicit flirtation—it was pure torture. She had no inkling of how accurate her words were. She couldn't know that very reality was already playing out, only with Loona holding the reins instead of her.
Pressing her toe briefly against my lower lip, she let out an easy, musical laugh before sliding her leg smoothly back down.
"Anyway… wouldn't want to make you any more flustered than you already are," she said, stretching languidly before letting her feet slip to the floor. With practiced ease, she pulled her purse closer, slipped out a blue banknote, and dropped it onto my bare thigh right beside the towel with casual dismissal. "Here, sweetheart. For your… exceptional service. Better go give that pan a stir before Loona gets back and tears into you."
She gave a quick wink, slid into her leather boots, pulled the zips up with a sharp hiss, and vanished down the hall.
The moment the heavy deadbolt fell into place, my shoulders caved. Forehead pressed against the cool boards, the twenty-euro note pinned beneath a trembling palm, I fought to drag air back into my lungs. The steel around my groin burned like a brand. I was left entirely shattered, exposed, running right on the edge of sanity—and Friday hadn't even arrived.
