55. Wife's POV
NOTE: I just realized that I accidentally uploaded Chapter 56 as Chapter 55 on Chyoa, which means the actual Chapter 55 has been missing this entire time, and yesterday's Chapter 56 was hence a duplicate. I'm honestly a little surprised nobody noticed, especially because the missing chapter contains the interaction that explains why she was supposed to be there in 30 minutes. I guess that also makes me a little disappointed that nobody stopped to question the sudden change in events :(. One of the things I care about most in is making the story progress naturally and sequentially, so I really don't intentionally skip details like that especially something as important as the plan to meet in the bathroom. Anyway, Chapter 55 is now where it belongs. Sorry for the confusion, and thank you to the readers who brought this to my notice. ❤
I threw my phone onto the bed, and instantly the embarrassment came flooding over me all at once. I crouched down, overcome by the shame of what I had just done. My cheeks felt as red as tomatoes. I pulled my knees up against my chest and wrapped my arms around them, burying my face against my knees as though hiding it could somehow make the moment disappear. My cheeks were burning, and a strange flutter had begun in my stomach. Was it nervousness, or was it… excitement?
I had probably never done that before, and now I had actually gone ahead and sent a message. And what made it worse was that I had sent it to a man. A man ❤. And to make matters even worse, this wasn't just an innocent “hi.” I hadn't sent it casually, like good neighbors do around the world. No, I had sent it with all the immoral intentions I had been carrying in my mind. Like a bad neighbor.
I had sent that message knowing exactly what I was doing, fully aware of the thoughts and intentions behind those two little letters.
I lifted my head and glanced toward my phone. It was lying there guilt-free on the bed, as though it hadn't just become the source of all my dilemma. I immediately looked away again, my heart beginning to race.
What if he replied? What would I say? What if he didn't? Somehow, that thought bothered me too.
After sitting there for a few more minutes, I tried to get myself under control. I focused on my breathing, trying to calm every inch of my restless body and bring myself back to normal. At a snail pace, the embarrassment began to fade. My heartbeat settled. My thoughts became a little clearer. Finally, I felt as though I was returning to my normal self.
Just as I was beginning to relax, my phone…
Brrrrr... Brrrrr...
…vibrated.
I flinched so hard that it was as if every bone in my body had reacted at once. My heart shot into a scary rhythm, and my eyes widened with sudden anxiety.
Is it... him?
My gaze immediately went to the phone.
Is he calling me?
I tried to swallow, but my throat was as heavy as it could get.
Thump. Thump.
The phone kept ringing. My emotions were all over the place. Just moments ago, I had felt bold enough to message him first. Now I couldn't even bring myself to pick up the phone.
I remained there frozen, staring at the glowing screen.
Thump. Thump.
I messaged him first, I scolded myself. So what are you nervous about?
I tried to reason with myself.
What's there to be nervous about anymore? You've already done it.
But my body clearly hadn't received the message. I climbed onto the bed and slowly moved closer to the phone, my eyes fixed on the screen. Just as I reached for it, the ringing stopped. And I would be lying if I said I wasn't relieved.
Then a notification appeared.
I stared at the name on the screen. Lara. My entire reaction changed in an instant.
“Lara?”
I blinked, staring at the name as though I couldn't place it.
Who was Lara?
Then it came back to me. My best friend.
Lara had been my best friend since our school days. We had grown up together, shared countless secrets, laughed over the most ridiculous things, and somehow managed to remain close even as life changed around us.
The phone rang again, and this time I picked it up right away. The moment I heard her voice, something inside me relaxed. We started talking, and what was supposed to be a short conversation turned into quite a long one. With Lara, I never had to think about what I said or worry about how I appeared. She knew me too well for that. Before I knew it, I was laughing, talking, and completely forgetting about the thoughts that had been troubling me only moments earlier.
By the time the call finally ended, I felt noticeably lighter. My mind had moved away from everything that had happened, and for a bit, the strange excitement and nervousness were nowhere to be found. I glanced at the time and realized just how late it had gotten. My husband suddenly came to mind, and I wondered whether he is still sleeping.
I went to check on him and found him still asleep. So I left him undisturbed and returned to the chores that were still waiting for me. There were a few things left to finish, and eventually I headed into the kitchen to start cooking.
As I moved around the kitchen, I gently slipped back into my usual routine. The earlier events seemed distant now. The number on the piece of paper, the message I had sent, and all the thoughts that had accompanied it had temporarily disappeared from my mind. I was simply cooking, thinking about ordinary things, when my phone suddenly rang.
Without giving it much thought, I wiped my hands and reached for it. I was still completely in my normal zone, expecting it to be another ordinary call.
Then I looked at the screen.
An unknown number.
My eyebrows furrowed in confusion.
“Unknown number?”
I stared at it for another second. And then my expression changed.
My eyes widened as the possibility suddenly struck me.
Could it be him?
There was no real reason for me to be even ten percent certain. It could have been anyone. A wrong number. A delivery call. Some random person trying to reach someone else.
But something in my gut told me otherwise. My heart began to beat faster as I stared at the screen.
It's him.
I didn't know how I knew. I just did.
The phone kept ringing, and I raised my thumb toward the green icon to accept the call. But my thumb never reached it. It stopped just above the screen and stayed put, completely still.
It wasn't fear. I wasn't terrified of speaking to him. I simply realized that I wasn't ready to speak on call yet. A message was one thing. I could think before replying, choose my words, take my time. A call was different. What would I say the moment I heard his voice? What would he ask me?
The ringing stopped.
I continued staring at the screen, hoping he wouldn't call again. I needed time to prepare myself, to figure out what I was doing and what I would say if he tried again. And if he kept calling, I would have to mute my phone somehow. The last thing I needed was for my husband to keep asking who was calling me.
Thankfully, the phone remained silent. And seconds later a notification appeared.
A message.
From the same number. My heart gave a little jump.
I opened it quickly.
Yo.
I stared at the word for a bit before instinctively tapping on his profile. I already knew who it was, yet some part of me still wanted confirmation. Perhaps I was looking for something that would make the whole situation feel less real.
There was nothing.
No profile picture. No name that I didn't already know. Nothing that could tell me more about the person behind the number.
Then another message arrived.
This time, it was a photo.
I hesitated before tapping on it. The image slowly loaded on the screen, and the moment it appeared, my suspicions were confirmed.
It wasn't a photograph of his face.
It was a photograph of his… co… cock.
There was no mistaking it. That long and thick cock. That cock. It had been inside my mouth, my pussy. How could I ever forget it? Just a photo of it was enough to heat me up.
I looked at it without blinking, completely lost in the sight, enjoying it like a horny bitch, when another message appeared.
Meet me outside in half an hour.
My heart palpitated.
What? Meet him in half an hour?
My mind went blank.
Until that moment, everything had felt safely contained behind a screen. A message here, a thought there, something I could dismiss whenever I wanted. But this was different. It was almost night, my husband was in the house, and he wasn't well. The thought of stepping outside now was very dangerous.
I couldn't think of what to reply. My fingers hovered over the keypad while my mind raced through every possible consequence. What if my husband woke up? What if he needed me? What if someone noticed me leaving at this hour and saw us together? There were too many things that could go wrong.
I had wanted to keep things within the safety of messages for now, where I could take my time, think before responding, and convince myself that I still had some control over the situation. But his message had suddenly turned those thoughts into something real.
I finally mustered the courage to type.
I can't.
I stared at the words for a moment before adding another message.
I'm sorry.
The moment I sent it, I felt ashamed by my own apology. Why was I apologizing to him? I wasn't the one who had asked for this.
And yet, somewhere inside me, I couldn't help worrying that he might be disappointed. I had only wanted him to understand that meeting him right now was far too risky.
Then his message appeared.
Alr. Come to your bathroom in half an hour. I'll message you.
I blinked at the screen.
My bathroom?
For a second, I couldn't understand what he meant.
Still, one thought stood above all the others. At least it was better than meeting him outside.
That alone was enough to quiet most of my hesitation. Before I could give myself another reason to reconsider, my fingers moved across the screen.
Ok.
