Waking up

The alarm sounded from Trevor's phone as he switched it off as both Trevor and Olivia looked at eachother.

"Good morning baby." Olivia said stretching. "So how was your first night sleeping with a girl?" She chuckled. "You kicked me awake a couple of times." He said bluntly. Olivia was a bit shocked. "Oh ummm sorry." Trevor laughed. "Dont apologise. It was good. It meant i knew you were still there." He smiled. Olivia kissed his cheek. "Well we better get ready for this surprise date." Olivia said excitedly as the two of them got ready.

They were just about ready to go when Trevor got a call. He answered. "Hey dad." Olivia kept quiet but she could hear the call. "Heya son. Great news. They cancelled the work today. That means i can take you today." His voice crackled. Olivia's face went down. "Oh" said Trevor. Hid dad continued. "So yeah. I could pop round now if you are ready?" Olivia tapped Trevor on the shoulder, kissed him on the cheek and mouthed "it's ok" before walking to the door. Olivia opened it about to leave.

"Thanks dad but that won't be necessary." Olivia stopped in her tracks and looked back at Trevor. "Oh thats fine. Did you want to drive us there Trevor?" His dad asked. "No... I'm ummm i'm going with someone else." He smiled at Olivia who was wide eyed and tearing up. "What? Son who would you rather go with than your dad?" He asked confused. Trevor grinned and made eye contact with Olivia. "My girlfriend." Olivia hears the audible spit take. "YOUR GIRLFRIEND WHAT?" his dad yelled. "Son when the fuck did this happen?" She hears a second voice on the phone. "No swearing Julian. Stop yelling too" Came a female voice. "HONEY TREVOR HAS A GIRLFRIEND." There's a moment of silence before they hear "FUCKING HELL" from the female voice causing them both to silently laugh.

"Trevor when did this happen? I knew college women would try and take advantage of you." The mum says as Olivia comes and holds his hand. "Ummm actually it's someone who went to my school." He says looking down with a smile. "Thats worse. They were all horrid to you. Apart from that Olivia girl she was ok. She did a week at volunteering at the animal shelter i worked at you know." Olivia tapped Trevor's shoulder. "Can i speak?" She mouthed. He brought the phone to Olivia. "Heya Linda." She said with a giggle. "OH MY IT IS OLIVIA OH IM SO HAPPY." Trevor could hear her smile through the screen.

"Now Trevor as you know has Autism so yo..." Olivia interjects. "Sorry to cut you off Linda but me and Trevor have talked about it. I am taking it at whatever pace he wants. I know about his autism. Whatever he needs im here to help with whether that be socially, at uni or anything to do with relationships im here to help." She said nudging him lightly. "Amazing oh im so glad he found someone so understanding. Also sorry he's probably going to talk loads about Battlebots so just be patient. He means well but he can ramble." Trevor cringes as Olivia giggles. "Oh really? Well i guess it's a good thing i've been watching it since i was 4." Olivia responds. Dad comes back to the phone. "Ok I need to meet you asap can you do dinner next sunday?" Trevor groans "Dad we're like 8 hours away from you." He cringes. "Im free next weekend." Olivia says with a smile. "If its ok with you Trevor?" Trevor looks stunned. "Well umm ok. Sounds um great." He stutters out but is excited.

"Perfect. Ok have a great day guys. Bye love you." The parents say as they hang up. Trevor just looks at Olivia who looks back at him. "I know that was a lot Trevvy. Do you need to talk about it?" Trevor nods. "In the car though. We're late."
