Mary's Day in the Office

Mary is a fairly lucky person. And no, that's not just talking about Noah.

Her parents are rich. Not Bill Gates rich, but still rich compared to everyone else in the area. They also run an office building that she works at.

What kind of office building you ask? Who gives a crap!

Unlike some kids of rich people, Mary wanted to learn how things work and prove that she's qualified. So although she is technically a nepo baby, she still earned her place on the management team.

She cares about her workers just as much if not more so than profit. She wants them to succeed in their lives, not just be soulless working machines. Everyone loves her and looks up to her.

Well, almost everyone.

"Hey Mary-poo. How's your useless husband?"

This bitch is known as Tina Thomas. Her father is the second richest person in town, and his daughter is the stereotypical spoiled brat. She believes herself to be above everyone and everything.

And she hates Mary. Mary isn't entirely sure why, but she believes its because Tina can't stand that Mary isn't like her. Where Mary works to prove herself, Tina uses her daddy's money to buy her way through life.

But it also has a lot to do with Noah. Although Mary finds Noah to be the sexiest man alive, he's actually pretty average on the conventional scale. And unlike Mary and Tina, he comes from a lower middle class family. And that's not even taking into account the fact that Mary makes more than him.

Mary's parents don't care too much about those things, but Tina definitely does.

"He's not useless. And if you must know, he has a book reading today." Tina scoffed at that.

"Oh, and how many people will be there? One." Mary smirked at Tina.

"Standing room only." Tina was left with her mouth open for a while as Mary walked past her and into her office.

"He's still useless!" Mary ignored her and closed the door. She sat at her computer and got to work.

...

"And that's my proposal." Mary was one of many people sitting at the round table who had to listen to this man's proposal.

Her father was one of the others.

"Mary, why don't you tell Mr Anderson what you think about his proposal."

The next ten minutes were some of the worst of this Mr Anderson's life. Mary wasn't unnecessarily cruel, but he ripped his proposal to shreds and revealed what it really was.

A corporate sham.

"Mr Anderson, anything to add?" The man shook his head in shame.

"Very well. I agree with everything that my daughter said. Your proposal is denied, and this meeting is dismissed." Mary waited for everyone to file out of the room before looking back over at her father.

"That was very good dear. You could easily have my job at this point."

"Oh please dad, that was beyond easy. Tina could have seen the holes in his proposal." Her father laughed.

"Very true. Are we still a go for dinner next week?"

"Of course. We can't wait."

When Mary finally had a chance to take a break, she saw that her new app had a notification.

Sophia: Congratulations, you met your first Harem Member. Tina Thomas is Yellow.

"FUCK!"
