Not All Relationships Move at the Same Pace

Luke still wasn't sure if this was going to turn out to be the greatest thing that had ever happened to him or the worst idea he had ever had.

At surface level, it felt like a wonderful happy accident to bring both of the hot servers he had collected on his app that week back to his place at the same time, with neither seeming to have any objection to the other's presence.

The complication was they were each currently in vastly different phases of the Romance Mechanic process.

Juliet (or Jools, as she preferred Luke to call her now they were dating) had only just scraped onto one star before they left the restaurant. He was going to have to work very hard to even get her to make out with him that evening. Stef, on the other hand, was now at the point where she was more than happy to get naked and perform sex acts on Luke just because he asked her to.

His place wasn't the biggest, so anything he did with Stef he would be doing right in front of Juliet, and he didn't know how she would handle someone else giving him a naked blow job during their first date. He was still quite new at this, after all, and the kind of situation he had inadvertently found himself in wasn't specifically covered in the user guide.

The sensible thing would probably be to just settle for a nice, civilised and fully clothed double date with two stunning women. A week ago, he would have ripped someone's arm off for that deal.

But now, he knew he could have more.

He also wanted to make the most of Stef tonight, as he planned to spend more time with the other women on his list over the coming days, to try and get them closer to where she already was.

One additional consideration stuck in his mind and finally made it up. The user guide had stated that hearts filled much quicker than they emptied. That meant even if Juliet lost some affection for Luke because of his inappropriate behaviour, and dropped below the single heart she was currently on, it wouldn't lead to anything terminal in their relationship. It would just mean yet another trip to that fucking restaurant she worked at.

How was Luke going to handle the potentially explosively awkward thing he now wanted to do, exactly? In a slightly cowardly way, it transpired. One that didn't even require him to be in the same room as his dates if it all ended in tears,

He walked out of the lounge towards his bathroom, leaving Stef and Jools, who seemed to have hit it off quite nicely, chatting and sipping his supermarket brand wine together on Luke's couch. As he made his way down the hall, he called out over his shoulder.

"Hey, Stef, can you strip off so you're naked for me when I get back?"

"Okay!"

That was it. Polite agreement from Stef and no audible response from Jools. No outrage, no complaints, nothing.

Luke locked the bathroom door and took a few moments to calm himself down. He then checked his Love List. There had been no changes to either of his guests affection levels, so Juliet was still on a full heart and would presumably happily remain on the date. Indeed, the map showed that both women were still in his lounge, neither having walked out in disgust. And, though the map didn't show it, one of them should now be naked.

Look stared into his own eyes in the mirror for a moment or two, as if looking for guidance. Was he crossing some kind of invisible line here? A moral point if no return?

He quickly told himself everything he needed to hear to be convinced it was okay to proceed with the thing he wasn't able to stop himself from doing anyway. Nothing bad was happening to anyone here, he reasoned to himself. Everyone was having a nice time. Luke had no magic powers to brainwash women with. All he had been doing was exactly what he was supposed to in order to win their hearts - take them out, give them gifts, pay them compliments and attention. Everything was exactly how it should be.

Feeling reassured about the situation, Luke made his way back to his dates. As he approached the semi open door to the lounge, he could first see that a smiling Jools was indeed still present, and then, coming into his vision next to her milliseconds later...

Luke almost dropped the bottle of beer he had grabbed himself from the kitchen on his way back.

This was definitely the hottest thing he had ever witnessed in his life. A fully naked Stef was sat right next to an equally fully clothed Jools as his two hot dates sat in happy and oblivious conversation with each other, as if this were the most natural scenario in the world.

The suddenly very eligible bachelor wondered how he would react the next time he randomly encountered a hot woman and they got added to his Love List, like had happened with both his guests that evening. Would he really have the willpower not to pursue them as well? This could all get very out of hand, though in the best way imaginable.

Luke was about ready to go to bed early, but couldn't resist checking the RM app one more time before powering down his phone. Consulting his Love List was becoming something of an addiction.

When he loaded it up, he was halted by a pop up notice.
