"Since you want to focus, I'm going to give you something to focus on. I want you to imagine a spiral in your mind, endlessly looping and repeating. Just a slowly spinning spiral. Focus your mind on the very center." He said.

Shamir scrunched her face for a moment.

"Fine. I see it"

"Good. Now notice how it feels like you're being pulled down towards the center. Seeing the rest of the spiral spinning past you and out of your vision over and over again. Like you're walking an endless path towards the center of the spiral. Even if you turned around you would just see the spiral again - disappearing into another small point on the horizon. You are completely enveloped in this spiral, letting yourself get dragged further into the center. Nothing else to see, and nothing else to hear but my voice. No enemies, no duties, no annoyances, just an abyss of black and white, and my voice guiding you along. But you notice, you haven't been moving your feet. The movement towards the center wasn't your body, but your mind. It's being slowly and steadily pulled away towards the center of the spiral. Replaced with only the sound of my voice. And when my voice is the only thought you have, the spiral will fade and leave you in the dark, no thoughts at all other than listening to my voice. And you will go limp, loose, and relaxed."

Almost immediately Shamir's head slumped to her chest. Her shoulders went loose and relaxed. She was ready
