Words with Fiends - 37

Despite owning a large home, Liana had never really set herself up to accommodate so many guests. After a big meal and a bigger glass of wine she really hadn't felt like doing anything, let alone preparing an extra bed. She would have hypnotized Sienna and make her do it, but she didn't get the chance to get her alone before an errant phrase from Kayla sent her MAIDS transformation into action. She didn't have another bed, but she did have an air mattress. She blew it up and put bedding on it. Then she left the other 3 to sort out their sleeping arrangements and went to her own room, locking the door behind her.

She woke much later to the sounds of shouting coming from downstairs. She groaned and checked the clock, the clicked her tongue and sat up. These kids...they'd take longer to recover from drinking as they got older too. With a groan she stood up and looked at herself in the mirror. She was wearing a French Maid outfit, although it was actually her regular pajamas. She sighed and headed downstairs to see what all the fuss was about.

She found the three women staring each other down in the kitchen, "What's going on here?" She asked.

Sienna turned first, "Dr. Moreau! I'm sorry, I didn't mean to wake you. This slut was just-"

"Excuse me?" Marcy butted in.

Kayla held up her hands, "Enough," She looked at Liana with pleading eyes, "They've been fighting about you since they got up. I don't know when Sienna became your number #1 fan, but after Marcy said you had an inappropriate relationship with students...well...I couldn't stop them."

Marcy turned to Liana, "No, I mean, you're obviously perfect and all that. I meant it was inappropriate for these hussies to try and tempt you!"

"Tempt? Listen you-" Sienna started again.

"ENOUGH!" Liana yelled, loud enough to silence everyone. They all fell silent and stared at her, "Sienna, I appreciate you defending me," Of course she knew WHY Sienna had to do it, 'oops', but she was still taking it too far, "But I'm a big girl. I can handle myself. Marcy I do admit that my relationship with these two is a little bit inappropriate, but we're all adults here. Besides, you know as well as we do that this game gives us little options. And Kayla...you...well next time just settle them down before they wake me. Actually, I wish someone would make us all breakfast."

"Oh, I will!" Kayla said instantly as her punishment kicked in.

"Good. Sienna you help her. Marcy come with me."

Liana led Marcy to the living room, unfortunately getting close enough for Marcy to spank her. She gasped, but pretended like it didn't happen. They both sat down, across from each other at the coffee table.

"Marcy I want you to tell me everything you know about the game."

Marcy shrugged, "I don't know much. I saw a banner ad and clicked it. Before I knew it I was stripping down to my underwear to comply with "FEW" as a punishment. Got rid of that, thankfully, but then Kayla challenged me while I was working and I ended up with this collar and a desire to kiss your ass," She wrinkled her nose, "Metaphorically speaking of course."

"Of course," Liana said, "So this ad, tell me about it."

"What's to tell? I was just doom scrolling and saw an ad for a scrabble like game. I tapped it and clicked to install and started playing. I thought Fiends was just a fun play on Friends."

Liana nodded, it was an understandable choice. It was different from how she'd been recruited. Different from the others too. If the app was just out there there was no way to stop it from spreading. It would continue to find more victims. But why, and for what purpose? Did the Fiends just enjoy watching them humiliate themselves?

A few minutes later Kayla and Sienna brought out their breakfast. It was quite good and they ate in relative silence as they all savoured the meal. When there were done Liana opened her mouth to speak, but before there was a loud noise as 4 phones simultaneously started to beep.

Checking her own she saw a notification from the app, she figured all 4 of them had the same thing.

"Another team game? Fuck it, I'm in." Sienna said.

"Ya, we can beat them." Kayla stared at Liana uncomfortable as she said it.

"No way, Doctor Moreau is, um, a doctor. You can't beat her. I'll play." Marcy said.

"Guess it's up to me then...fine. I'll do it." Liana smiled sweetly. She knew that Sienna would be a major handicap, she wouldn't even know what the PW tiles were.

They all accepted and the game began.

Liana blinked and found herself sitting by herself in a totally white room. There were no windows or doors, it was totally bare except the chair she was sitting in.

"What the..."

Her phone buzzed. She looked down.

No table talk! Hehehehe

She rolled her eyes, "Whatever. Let's just win this."

She saw her team was going second. That was good. The second team had the advantage in her opinion.

The other team started with HOVE for 20 points. Then it was Liana's turn.

Liana frowned. She had the Z, which was good, but she only had a single vowel. As much as she wanted to use that V on the board for its points, she couldn't make anything good off it. Instead she played off the E, making GLAZE, with the Z on the double letter for 25 points.

The other team avoided the PW tile and played TAX for another 20 points. Liana grinned, that was probably Sienna, avoiding the PW tile without thinking about it.

Then it was Marcy's turn, and all Liana could do is wait. Then ZIP appeared on the board for 22 points, and a 7 point lead.

Kayla, presumably, played DRED off of GLAZE, for 26 points.

It was Liana's turn again, she immediately saw a word she could play on a PW tile and went for it. AGE. For 16 points. She briefly wondered if she should have taken more time to look for something better, but just as quickly dismissed it. It wasn't strange to maximum efficiency, right?

As expected Sienna avoided, or rather, ignored the PW tiles. Instead she played JOINER, with the J on a double letter. That meant Marcy needed 26 points for the win.

Liana held her breath as the letters appeared...

Flurry. 48 points.

"YES!" Liana shouted.

Then suddenly she was back at the table with the others. Everyone else had a sour look on their faces.

"Why the hell did you even bother with AGE?" Marcy asked, "If you were willing to take a PW tile you should have taken some real points. I had to take a PW tile just to win!"

"And why did you avoid the PW tile?" Kayla asked Sienna, "We could've won if you'd used it!"

The two challenged women looked at each other and shrugged, "What's done is done." Liana said finally.

"Ugh, whatever. At least we got a prize..." Marcy said. She opened her phone and check.

Liana did the same, "Let's see...oh..." First it told her her punishment.

AGE - You will become physically 18 years old and people will treat you that way.

"Wait, that's a bad thing?" Liana asked.

Marcy rolled her eyes, "For us? No. For a University professor? How do you think your lectures will go?"

"Oooh..." Liana hissed. That would be a problem, "Still...I look good? Don't I?"

"Y-Yes." Kayla muttered.

"Very good Dr. Moreau." Sienna said seriously.

"Juuust great..." Marcy said to herself.

"What?" Kayla asked.

"Not that you care but my punishment for Flurry. I am to expect sudden gusts of wind apparently..." Marcy didn't elaborate further.

"Well at least we get a reward." Liana said. She tapped her screen and called up her options.

• Alter Sienna's SQAURES punishment so only you can trance her
• Transfer 3 of your punishments to other players.

Liana gulped. Those were...good. The first one...well 500 gems would buy 5 remove punishments. She only had 5. She could go back to nothing. The second one...now that was tempting. Very, very tempting. Sienna hadn't won this game so she wouldn't be getting rid of it. Liana could even hypnotize her to stop her from getting rid of it ever. Her conscious prickled a little bit at her being so willing to override someone else's free will, but if she was going to listen to that thing she wouldn't have gone as far as she had already. The last reward...well...as fun as it would be to see Sienna in the maid costume, she didn't need to do that.

Finally she made her choice and closed the app.

"Well? What did you girls get?" Liana asked.

"I got $10,000!" Marcy said excitedly, "Fuck. That almost makes this stupid dog collar worth it. What was your reward?"

"Congratulations. I got support from the Dean for my research project. He's been difficult to get on my side, so it's a huge help." Liana lied. She looked at the losers, "And you two? What's this major punishment?"

"I got..." Kayla started to answer.
