Red Eyes

A normal overcast day in Bern. People only worried about their own business.

First day of work. Tom sat absentmindedly in front of the waste management area with his sleepy grey co-guard.

Bored out of his mind, then Tom fell asleep too.

Within the waste management area the central canal washed burnt waste to the sea. But something from the sea was coming to Bern!

A plot was afoot.

A blue hand shot out from the canal. Strangled a worker. Tight grip. Snapped the neck and tossed aside.

Red eyes emerged. A grotesque blue orc! Sharp teeth. Foul breath. Spines along his back. He roared.

Ten other orcs of various sizes armed with daggers and claws. They stormed the area, on a killing rampage.

One worker ran out, “Help! Help! Help!”

Stumbled in front of the two sleeping guards.

Tom yawned. Rubbed the dust from his eyes. This guy was screaming like a morning rooster.

“What… Is… Going… On?” Tom said.

Then the massive orc leader appeared from the door. His eyes forward and then looked at Tom.

Wait… WHAT?!
