A Unexpected Fall

After his surprise blowjob from Angel and talking to some of the other girls, David took some time to himself before making his way to the garden to meet Jennifer. When he did arrive at the garden, he was impressed by how good she looked.

“You might not want to hear this from me, but you do look fantastic.” Jennifer blushed slightly and took his arm.

“Thanks. Now come on, it’s a bit of a walk until we get to the picnic spot. Trust me, you are going to love it.” There wasn’t a trail leading to where they were going, but there was plenty of beautiful greenery.

“Um, David. When I was talking to Rachel today, she got a little weird. Do you have any idea what that could be about?” David raised an eyebrow at her

“Weird how?”

“Well, she was getting all blushy and said that she forgot how charming I can be. And when I questioned her on it, she got even more flustered and ran away.” David snorted before breaking out into laughter.

“Sorry, sorry. I’m not laughing at you. Yeah, I think I know what’s going on.” Jennifer glared at him slightly.

“Ok, what is that and why is it so funny?”

“So, I’m guessing that Rachel has endlessly complained about how dense I am?” Jennifer couldn’t help but chuckle at this.

“She’s not the only one, but yes. She said she was flirting with you for years before she gave up and kissed you. And even with you guys having been together for 7 years, you are still dense.”

“Well, then I’m also assuming that she conveniently left out the detail that I was also flirting with her for years before we got together too, and she didn’t notice either?” The look on Jennifer’s face told David exactly what he needed to know.

“Yeah, she complains about me being dense, but trust me, she is way worse in that regard. She doesn’t even notice her own feelings on most things. I love her, but she can be pretty dumb sometimes.” Jennifer looked at him curiously.

“But, how does this matter to what happened earlier?” David almost forgot that Jennifer can also be pretty dense.

“Now, I could be way off base, so don’t quote me on this, but I think that she has feelings for you. Or at the very least, that she is very attracted to you.” Jennifer froze in shock, her eyes wide and her mouth hanging open. This made David laugh again.

“Sorry, but your face was priceless. Well, like I said, I could be wrong. Also, I’m pretty sure that she hasn’t even noticed this herself. She’s dense, and can also be pretty slow with these things.” Jennifer gave him a slight glare.

“Sounds like you're being mean to her.”

“No, just acknowledging her flaws. In order to have a healthy relationship, you need to be able to acknowledge your partner's flaws. Now, what I really want to know is what you think about this?” Jennifer took a few minutes to think about her answer.

“I think I want to try pursuing her. I, I kinda have a crush on her.”

“Trust me, I know. I’m really good at picking up on people's feelings.” Jennifer gave him a deadpan look.

“Let me rephrase that. I’m really good at picking on people’s feelings when they aren’t for me. I wouldn’t actually consider myself dense. Instead, I simply cannot understand why any woman, especially one as incredible as Rachel, would ever want to be with me.” This made Jennifer snort.

“Let me think, you’re cute, kind, smart, extremely creative, passionate about what you are good at and you’re a genuinely good person. And I’m not listing these things just because they are what Rachel has told me she likes in you, but because they are reasons I had a crush on you for a while.” Now it was David’s turn to blush.

“Uh, well, back to the topic at hand. Yes, I have noticed your crush on my fiancee, and yes, I believe that she returns your feelings, even if she hasn’t realized it yet.” A smile crept onto Jennifer’s face.

“Well, how do you feel about this information?” This made him chuckle.

“I’m afraid I no longer have a right to complain about my fiancee being interested in or being with other woman. So if you want to pursue her, go ahead. Although, you might have some competition.” This caught her attention.

“Oh, and who might that be?”

“Rachel has a huge celebrity crush on Morgan. In fact, I’m pretty sure it hasn’t even fully hit her that she’s rooming with Morgan yet, with everything that has been going on with the show and my proposal. If I were to guess, I’d say it’s about to hit her right now.”

Rachel was sitting on a bench overlooking the ocean, soaking in the sun with her eyes closed. As if David spoke it into existence, her eyes snapped open.

“OH MY GOD!”

“Well, I can’t exactly blame her for that, Morgan is really hot. I wouldn’t say that I have a crush on her, but banging her has always been on my bucket list.” David started to hear the sound of falling water, and a smile began to spread onto his lips.

“Is that a waterfall I hear?” Jennifer gave him a smirk.

“You bet.” When the two of them rounded the corner, David gasped. Just beyond the picnic set up, was a small but beautiful waterfall that led into a clear pool.

“Wow, I didn’t think that a place as terrible as this could have something so beautiful.”

“You’re too negative. But that is part of why I wanted to bring you here. To remind you that even in the darkest moments, there is always light.” David looked at her in surprise but with a smile. “You told me that, when I was at my lowest.” David gently cupped her cheek, which she leaned into. The two were looking into each other's eyes, but neither of them moved for a moment. He gave her a slight nod, and she closed the gap.

When they broke apart, they both looked slightly guilty.

“I know the situation is strange, but I still feel like we just betrayed Rachel.” David shook his head and looked back at the picnic set up.

“Her and I already talked about it. It’s ok, I promise. Now, let’s eat.”

The two of them ate in comfort, looking at the waterfall and talking about old times. Well, they were mainly exchanging funny stories about Rachel, which is their favorite thing to do together.

Eventually, they used the other things that Jennifer had set out for them, the camera. Jennifer took an incredible picture of David right in front of the waterfall. Then, it was his turn to take her picture.

“Take one more step back.” She did so, but her foot slipped.

“JENNIFER!” She tried to regain her balance, but fell over the edge.

“NO!” David didn’t hesitate. He dropped the camera and dove in after her. Despite falling around 15 feet, David didn’t feel much pain when he hit the water. He grabbed Jennifer, who wasn't prepared for the fall and thus was a little dazed, and pulled her to the surface. Ignoring the water on his face, David dragged her out of the water. Jennifer coughed up some water and stood up on shaky legs.

“Jennifer, are you ok?” David didn’t notice that his voice sounded weird.

“Yeah I-” Jennifer was frozen, her eyes glued to David.

“Jennifer, wh-” David noticed his voice, and the fact that he was shorter. In fact, his hair seemed longer and his center of gravity was off. Wait…
