When your boss is an S class Asshole (But the world needs him anyway)

Okay, so Paul did mention that his guild was fairly prestigious and and well off, didn't he? It's known as the Le Rempart d'Arverne (The Arverne Rampart) or the RA for short, IT was one of the 12 majour guilds. That was because one of the the 3 guild masters was a S class Manifested, Bastien Dumas. The other two were A class Manifested.

Yep, one of the powerhouses of the country was the head of your guild that made up of about 1,5 thousand employees. Now if you're thinking these are all espers and guides you'd be wrong. there are just short of about 400 Espers and 250 guides. The rest were non awakened.

The RA's not the biggest guild but we are one of the major players in the country. Because of our S Class Boss. As cool as that sounds, Paul would make a poignant objection to anyone who would dare fantasise that this was a good thing:

Some people should just not be in leadership positions.

If your boss is an asshole, 1 in 5 others will think it's okay to also be an asshole at work.

If it wasn't clear, Paul despised his boss. Although he would never dare articulate himself that plainly about one of the French war heroes and Elites.

Unfortunately, Paul was one of the 10 Guides that attended to Dumas whenever he wasn't doing so hot after Gate mission. Paul's compatibility score with Dumas was 56, which was pretty high for Paul, but utterly unremarkable for most.

But hey! Paul just said there were two hundred+ guides at his disposal, how come Paul was attending him with his unremarkable score of 56, you ask?

Because even the Guide compatibility considered him a swine! The man scored on average 25-30 with guides. That's compared to the usual 50 for ever other Esper. The cut off for the absolute minimum recommended score for guidance to proceed was 40, and that was said to be unpleasant. An Esper would never ask for help from someone scoring under 50 if they were **** as the guiding would repulse them in that sencetive state.

There were around 20 guides in the whole Guild that scored 50 and above with Dumas. And Paul was in the top 10.

Which was why he was standing naked in the office sweet, waiting to be fucked over by his boss.

Unfourtunately he meant that literally....
