“I DESERVE AN OSCAR FOR THIS!” Kai almost screamed once he returned to his bed after Luke left, somehow, he had managed to not only appear calm, but also oblivious to the quest his friend was tasked with.

“I should give him a bit of alone time to let him relax, maybe try to make him cuter before giving him another quest related to me.” Kai muttered as he took out his phone.

“Yup, extra targets were the way to go.” Kai said as he checked his profile, thanks to Vanessa’s contribution, he was now level five, and to top if off, he had better knowledge about how he could get QuestMaster XP

“Aparently, pushing them a little gives 3 XP.” he concluded, after rereading Vanessa’s quest completion notification. “And pushing them more gives five, like with Luke right now…”

He then stared at his quest tree for a while, He had already leveled up once thanks to Vanessa, and had decided to purchase Fast quest I, which reduced his quest cooldown by 2 hours and opened many quest related perks.

“I could buy an additional quest slot for everyone, purchase Quest creation II or save up for Daily quests I. I could also ignore the “quest” branch and switch save for Reward designer I, Class creation I… UGGGHH!!! I also need to buy See target fetishes at some point!”

Kai was rapidly feeling both overwhelmed and poor. There were too many perks for him to buy, each with either guaranteed returns or the possibility of increasing his growth speed.

“I think I’ll save up this one… maybe buy Reward designer I tomorrow… yeah… if I manage to push Vanessa a bit I’ll get 6 xp, maybe even 10 if I manage to push the right button…”

Kai checked his profile again as he started to make some plans.

“Then another 6-10 points from Luke, maybe a random achievement, and I’m golden… Not to mention that with a six hour cooldown I should be able to squeeze in a third quest…”

Satisfied with his decisions and plans, he finally went to sleep, already looking forward to waking up.

Description: Those **** aren't going to pay themselves. Go find someone to fuck outdoors in this lovely saturday morning.

Just as Kai was about to hit the “confirm” button, a pop-up appeared on his screen.

Kai smiled and clicked “yes”. This was Vanessa’s purpose, to find out what was the limit of the app.

Quest: Skincare research.

Description: Girls prefer guys with a nice soft skin instead of a rough abrasive one. Research in depth at least 5 skincare products and techniques.

Reward: A supply basket with 5 products of your choice, they must have an aggregated price of 200$ or lower.

This time, the quest went through without warning. “Makes sense, Luke will probably think of reselling the basket, so to him, this is just a 150 ish research project.”

Kai deduced as he clicked “confirm” still regretting not taking Cuteness I as a reward instead. But at the same time, he was certain Luke wouldn’t even consider doing the quest for it, he might even uninstall the app on the spot.

Hello! This is the QuestMaster development team, we would like to inform you that unlocking the “Slow burn” achievement isn’t always a good thing. Your purpose as a Quest Master is to bring us entertainment, usually of the sexual kind.

Fortunately for you, your other target, Vanessa, is already enough to satisfy most of our expectations this early after you have been given the app. And even if this were not the case, your interactions with Luke have been more than comedic enough.

Still, we understand the reason for your slow progress is because you fear “screwing him up” or him straight up installing the app. While we cannot guarantee the first thing won't happen, even if a target uninstalls LifeQuest they will still receive quests, the only difference is that now the perk “Target awareness" will be permanently active on them.

We hope we managed to ease some of your worries, and expect you to keep up your good work.

PD: I personally think you could start giving him some “gay thoughts” if you know what I mean.

Kai stared at the pop-up for several minutes, speechless. Of course he was taking his time, he only had one Luke, and even if he had more, he was still slightly conflicted about using this weird app to mold him into his ideal boyfriend. (Although that internal conflict was already almost over)

Vanessa was walking down a secluded part of the local park wearing a terribly revealing outfit and no underwear, planning to maximize her luck as much as she could.
