The E from Prone was beside the PW tile. It was tempting.

But what was the point of continuously adding and removing punishments. She needed to decrease the number of punishments, and that meant avoiding PW tiles altogether.

She ignored it and played HERBS instead for 23.

Unfortunately Mammon didn't ignore it, playing JOINER for 52 points.

Kayla gulped. That was a big gap.

Her HERBS had opened up the top PW tile. She could use it too. A 44 point word would almost tie it again.

No. She refused to play that way. She played WALKER on a double for 26 points.

Mammon didn't leave it open, he played TOADISH for 40 points. She was now losing by 43 points with a single word left.

She'd picked up the Z, but could she use it?

Wait. There it was. ZEES + JOINERS. Holy crap. The S was on the triple. 83 points. She'd done it...right?

Mammon played OXIM for 30 points.
