Try to block the door before Wonder Woman reaches it

Cursing yourself for letting your guard down, you rush to beat the sprinting Amazon to the door. Diana is already moving fast and seems to speed up when she realizes what you’re doing. You both close in on the door, it’s going to be close…

Wonder Woman dives for the open door at the same time you dive for her from the side. She’s slightly closer than you are, and as her head passes the threshold you’re afraid you’ve missed her. Fortunately her long, toned legs take awhile to clear and you manage to wrap your arms around her knees. Your dive carries you (and her legs) past the door, combining with Diana’s forward momentum to slam her into the door jam. There’s a snapping sound and a pained exhalation from the Princess.

You hit the floor in an undignified belly flop, but manage to hold onto one of her legs. Diana is lying half in and half out of the cell, and seems to have gotten the wind knocked out of her. You quickly haul on her leg to drag her back in the cell, and the Amazon lets out a pained gasp, quickly choked off.

She tries to kick you with her free leg, but it’s uncharacteristically slow and unfocused. It’s not until you grab her other ankle and pull her legs together that you realize one of them is crooked, the knee bent at an angle knees are not generally supposed to.

Oopsie.

Despite the pain she must be in, Diana keeps struggling to get away and reach the door. But with her arms bound and only one good leg, she’s pretty easy to control. You drag her – using her good leg this time – into the center of the room, wrap the golden lasso around her neck, and command her to stop struggling.

Your recaptured captive glares at you, teeth clenched and silent. Hauling her up to stand on her good leg, you hook her box tie harness to a suspension chain like you’d originally planned. Leaving her balanced on one leg, you walk over to the wall controls, and retract the chain until her toes are several inches above the floor.

You walk back over to the naked, suspended heroine. She’s got a pretty good poker face, but her jaw is still clenched shut and you can see the pain in her eyes.

“OK, now where were we?”
