What's next?
All Eyes on Me
To my great surprise, Paul looked right at me. I had expected Joan, if he wasn't shameless enough to turn it right back on Molly. Hopefully we had scared him off of that. There was a weird look in his eye, the same one he'd had since he had finished up with Molly. Not one I liked. But not enough time had passed for him to be back in any real mood, so I decided that now was the time to try a dare, seeing as Jack would be trying to have his fun whenever his turn came around. "Give me a dare," I said with a sigh, praying that it would keep him from getting too excited.
The dweeb maintained his cover over his sensitive area, but he sat up, looking a little surprised. I wasn't subtle about my feelings, but I figure he was probably too dense to detect the complex social calculus I was doing in my head. All he heard was a pretty girl saying Have your way with me, or the closest equivalent he was ever going to hear. I saw him falter as he tried to summon up some more stamina, but nothing doing. Just like I hoped. "Fine," he said, looking grief stricken. "Why don't you..." He cast his eyes around. Lea and Molly were approaching naked, and even Joan had kept her top off since the incident. That's interesting, I thought, only noticing it now. Then I realized the direction his thoughts would inevitably turn. Fine. I could think of worse things. His eyes gleamed with the spark of imagination. That would be it, but it would be more complicated than one more strip tease.
"Take off everything below your waist and sit in Jack's lap," he said, with a terrible smile on his face.
I scowled. "You're joking. You don't even get anything out of this," I said.
"I get to watch you squirm," he said.
My mouth fell open. No, he wasn't just a horny dweeb with poor sense of judgment. He had a sadist inside him. "Fuck you," I grunted.
Jack was beaming. "Head on over to the desk, then!" he said, pointing a finger at the baggie Harry was steadily depleting. He looked like the Grim Reaper in one of those old Christmas Carol cartoons, showing me the way to my grave. The game of chicken went on, then. And it had gained a new player. Paul would side with Jack even if it didn't do anything for him. Doesn't he remember that Jack was the one who made fun of him in the first place? I thought. Those resentments were apparently out the window. Now it was all about id, and his was focused right on me.
Cocaine was not on the table. Well, except in literal terms. My scholarship was too important, there was no way for me to afford Regis without it. I couldn't risk ending up in some den. And, no matter how obvious it was to everyone around that this was exactly what both Paul and Jack wanted, I wasn't going to let them have the satisfaction of bailing out. "Like I'd be able to feel anything anyway," I said coolly, and then remembered that I already knew what Jack was working with. Ah, well. Bluster was worth a shot. I stood up.
