Chapter 71 by CMW CMW

Does she explain?

Celeste's speaks

“As you wish big sister,” I said.

“Wait, Celeste, dear, we must clear the room first,” Mother said as she looked to the maids.

The room felt lonelier without them. “It happened on the way back from Estelle. We stopped at Galford Castle in the woods. Everything was coming as I had expected. Until the attack happened. It wasn’t even one bandit, let alone a group of them. It was instead just one man. Master.”

“Master?” Samantha asked. “Oh what house?”

I chuckled. I could use his name, but I wasn’t planning on it. I didn’t want to hear it spoken in vein. “Just Master,” I said. “That is all I knew. He was a wizard, and he had cast a powerful spell, one of mind control. All in Galford had fallen to his spell. We were all obedient to him immediately, in different to whatever he thought.”

“But, if that is true! Then why did your escort say you died in a bandit attack?” Samantha asked.

“Because Master had used a geas spell to **** them, that way no one would look for me. And he could use me in any way he wanted,” I said. I already hated doing this. Seeing Catherine’s fear, Lydia’s concern, Mother’s frustration and Samantha’s hatred was already annoying me.

“Do you mean to imply this bastard took relations with you?” she asked gritting her teeth.

“Yes, Master ha taken me nearly every week-”

“Stop calling him by that term! He was nothing but a vile disgusting-”

I stood up, my eyes glaring at Samantha. She almost sat down in response but definitely lowered her posture a bit. “I shall listen to nothing of that, little Samantha.”

“So my sister is hiding in there somewhere?” she asked.

Mother brushed my sister aside. “But why are you still holding him to that status? Did he hold a position of power even after your escape?”

Escape. What a joke.”No, sadly he died. I never escaped Mother.”

“Sadly! What is this! Are you under the spell of a deadman?” Samantha asked.

I looked at my hand. “Perhaps. Though the wizards said that is not the case. Can you imagine, how it felt? To have ****? To kiss the dirt if he simple suggested it? I was their for twelve years.”

“His **** was too simplistic, he should be revived, so that I can burry him myself,” she said.

“To think you went through all of that,” Lydia finally spoke.

Catherine hugged me. “You are okay now, okay?”

“Well, at least we know now what we are dealing with,” Mother said. “It means little though. Ozgood is not seeing a wife for more children. So your status of past experience is something we can look beyond.”

My past experience. You mean how he plunged so deep into me on so many different moments that I came so load that I may have cracked a stone with it? You think that is the issue? As if anyone, especially a noble in their utter selfishness could understand. Perhaps that was what made this so unfortunately. They had answered within my expectations. But that meant that none of my own family could see the beauty that was lost.

I would actually not even be against Samantha’s idea if it were possible. Rosemary had said that kind of magic goes beyond the limits of mortals and would require not only a god but one of the htree sisters, or otherwise rather impractical, not impossible for someone like me or big sister.

“Well,” Mother said as she tapped her fingers. “This does make it easy to adjust our approach. Ozgood is the only prospect at percent that had what Celeste needs, so, Samantha shall play support. We must get her to at least stop using this phrase. They might beg too many questions. Plus Samantha could get married easily enough if she would just dye her expectations a bit.”

I looked and Notice Lydia looking a bit off in the distance. Who I should marry was her call as the head of the house. I suppose I wasn’t the only one that needed to learn to act a bit different.

“I will try my best Mother.”

After lunch?
