Go to the Hall of Central Harmony

The next process is for you to climb the stairs to the Hall of Supreme Harmony, where the steps signify your ascension to the heaven. While the steps aren't that many, for the first time, you have to take it slowly, one by one.

It was when you're halfway when trouble starts. A group of men wearing black clothing and masked attacked from the multiple directions, catching everyone by suprise. In a few seconds, two of them are already in front of you, attacking with claws; the purple liquid on the claws warned you the presence of poison. Despite that, you calmly moved away and attacked one of them by hitting the meridient point, disrupting the assailant's ki. Before the attacker could react, you caught hold of his arm and then swung him toward his co-conspirator, and the two collided.

The Imperial Guards, initially paralyzed by the audacity of an attack within the Forbidden City, snap into practiced formation. Unlike the frantic, swarming movements of the masked men, the guards move to defend you and take down the attackers. One attacker aims for a guard’s throat, but the guard doesn't flinch. Instead, he steps into the strike, using his shoulder to throw the assassin off balance while a second guard finishes the movement with a short-sword thrust to the ribs. Meanwhile, a trio of guards used their numbers to take down another attacker.

Realizing that their initial advantage is disappearing fast, another masked man shouted, "Use the Seven Maidens poison!"

Before you can react to the announcement, three of them each brought out a tube containing 7 colored powders and blow it toward you; the action being their last before they were cut down by the guards. However, that action is enough as the powders engulf you. You expect it will be the last thing you inhale before you succumb to the poisons.

Five seconds later, you blinked in confusion as the last of the masked men were killed off.

You have heard that poison is supposed to be potent and kill instantly by overloading the 'Yang' ki but maybe the assasins bought out the wrong powder? Not to complain, you continue walking up the stairs until you reach the tower. From there, you continue walking to the Hall of Supreme Harmony. Then you climb to the throne and sit, facing south. Just as you sit, the bells are rung and the drums are beaten. There is the cracking of ceremonial whip, signalling that you have taken your rightful place as the emperor.
