Mom is Jeremy's Personal Secretary

What worried me the most, though, was how she was slowly becoming Jeremy's personal secretary. At work, Jeremy had all the power to do as he chose. According to a friend of mine, as soon as Jeremy found out I was her son, he'd deliberately started assigning her tasks that required bending over—stocking low shelves, cleaning under tables, anything that put her on display. And Mom, ever the dutiful employee, never questioned it.
