She arrives

Time passed quickly and in no time Emma was at his doorstep. She packed lightly, bringing only a few small bags.

“Hey! It’s so good to see you!”

Casey invited her in and helped set her bags down.

“Thanks for letting me stay here a little while!”

“No problem, always happy to help out.”

They spent the afternoon chatting about life after high school. Soon it was evening, and Casey realized today was Christmas Eve and that the party was happening later that night.

“Man, I’m getting a bit hungry now, got any plans for dinner?”

Casey decided to invite Emma to the party.

“Well, I was planning on going to a small Christmas Eve party with some people I know from class. They said I could bring a friend, so if you want we could go together.”

“Sure, that’s fine with me as long as I’m not intruding!”
