Go on and press your luck, or let her go for today?
Take it slow, you know you see her again
The next morning.
Ah, Friday. Steven awoke early for his morning run as he usually did, looking forward to getting drinks with his friends that night. Eliza would be there and he wondered what opportunity he’d be granted next. As he exited his apartment, he saw the eighteen year old daughter of one of his neighbors also leaving her apartment to run. Sometimes they ran together and he called out across the courtyard to the girl.
“Hey Chloe!”
“Hey Steven!” She smiled brightly at her neighbor.
A thought struck Steven. “Hey Chloe, I’m trying a new running program, why don’t you come check it out?”
“Ooh, interesting.” The girl jogged across the courtyard as Steven pulled up the gif that had taken over the mind of his best friend.
“Here, take a look.” Steven held up the black and white swirl to Chloe and watched as her eyes glazed over. It had worked again.
“Chloe?” He tested the waters softly as he put the phone away.
