What is in Robin's future?
Coming out!
We enter Robin's home. A small row home on the edge of Beek en Donk. He keeps up the feminine act. As he heads to his parents' kitchen, he says: "I felt great today. I wish it could last forever. Did you take coffee with anything?"
"Some milk. I know the girls would be happy to have you. Bart might be shocked, but will come around. Your parents, I don't know." I say as I sit in the living room.
He comes back with wider hips, a smaller waist, and overall more feminine. With two cups of coffee in hand. I choose to react as little as possible to see when he notices.
Looking at his coffee, he says: "Yeah, I know, but my parents might be a problem." He bites his lip.
"I will check if I can give you a quest to come out to them. We don't know all types of rewards, do we? And how much help would you want with your transition?"
Robin Naaktgeboren completed an advanced quest successfully. [+7 xp]
Beginner QuestMaster: A target completed a quest for the first time. [+5 xp]
Level Up! [+1 Perk point]
Quest Master: Pieter
Surname: Visser
Gender: Male
Age: 33
Level 3 (1 / 12 xp)
Class: None
Perks: Quest Designer I, Recommended Reward I
Perk Points : 2
Robin grabs my arm. "Please don't make me tell my parents." He glares. "Help me all you want if you can."
"I can't do it right now anyway. 6-hour cooldown because of the difficulty of the quest."
He laughs. "Did you know or just happen to stumble upon it?"
"Stumble, but nice to see there is some safety or recovery time built in. Let's see what the settings are like. "
Settings
Name on quest given: Full/First name/Last name/variable/off
Variable can be set up as you wish per target, including custom names.
Reminder for quests: on/off
Notifications: on/off
Cooldown on targets quest: invisible/visible
Colour blind options: off/black, white/green, magenta/custom
Custom allows for a custom choice of colours for perk tree and other layout features.
I swapped "Name on the quest" to First name and swapped cooldown on the target quest to visible. The rest seems fine, let's keep it for now.
Robin rested his head on my shoulder to look along. "Wait, you have a perk tree and now 2 perk points? I only have one"
"Yeah, you don’t have a perk tree?"
"NO bastard."
"Fine, shall we have a look?"
"You will let me see?"
"Yeah. They will affect you often or indirectly."
We spend an hour going over the perks, he is getting sleepy, and it is getting close to the early morning instead of the late night.
Robin summarises: "Okay, the musts get from my perspective are
- Public Unawareness (1 perk point): When toggled, nobody will notice the target doing anything inappropriate for a quest.
- Conditional quests (2 perk points): Can add an additional quest to target. The quest will be sent everytime the target met the condition. Conditional quest can be replaced or removed as long as it isn’t pending.
- Recommended Reward II (1 perk point): Create a list of three recommended reward for basic quests and let the QuestMaster choose one.
- Class Designer (5 perk points): Give a class to a target, slowly altering them as they level up.
- Character Editor I (1 perk point): Enables small changes to character info every 24h.
- Target Perk Tree (2 perk points): Enables targets to spend points for Target perks."
"I could save up for Class designer, pick a perk for 2 points, or pick two single-point perks. What to do?"
What to pick?
