ROGUE: "Agh! Motherfucker!"
BARD: Wait, wait, DM! As soon as I start to see this happening, can I cast a spell of my own?
DM, rubbing his chin thoughtfully: Hmm… alright, sure. But you’ll have to roll an initiative check first to see if you’re quick enough to react before the spell takes full effect. Let’s make it a DC15 check.
BARD: >Rolls dice < I got a seventeen! I want to cast Major Image on myself the second I spot the transformation. I’ll make it look like I’m still wearing my normal outfit. Corset, shirt, breeches - the whole thing. A fake layer to conceal what I’m really wearing, which moves with me as I move.
DM: Alright then. As the sorcerer’s spell begins to unravel the threads of your clothes into that crumbling fishnet weave, your own illusion magic swiftly ripples up around you. Light distorts and in an instant your outfit shimmers back into place before your real one has finished disassembly. To everyone watching you appear untouched - only your party members know what’s truly going on beneath the illusion. It’s like an **** version of going commando.
ROGUE: ”Hey, what about me?!”
BARD shrugs: ”Sorry darling, but you’re on your own.”
