Roos interrupts: "Anne, don't be such a stick in the mud. Pieter, just pick me. I want to have a fun time with the father of all things sweet." She winks at the end.

Welp, Roos volunteered, so now I have to pick her. Shouldn't I... as I think that my finger goes to select her. It asks for confirmation, and I click yes almost instinctively. I hear a buzz from Roos's purse. A new window pops up.

I clicked it away with a smile.

"O, cool!" I shout in front of the door of the tapas place. "It has a lot of different things about Roos, her name, her age, her fetishes." I joke.

She blushes and tries to grab my phone in response. "It better not, and if it does, you better take that to your grave." She said with the most serious voice I had heard of her in ages. When was the last time.... When she had asked if I was gay. How did she phrase it? "Are you gay? I am serious, please tell me you aren't gay."

I believe I responded with: "I am bad with recognising my emotions, always have been, remember." I placed my forehead against her and continued. "I used to be unable to recognise I was mad. Now I can try to solve it before I lose control or it boils over. I used to cry for what felt like no reason to myself. Now I can feel when I feel sad before the tears start pouring out, and can tell those I trust. I have yet to fall in love with anyone.... But with you, I feel safe and comfortable." Afterwards, she blushed and scurried away. She hid for a bit. Why was that.... I squint as I try to solve an issue that I haven't had in years.

I get brought back to Roos, who had grabbed my phone whilst I was lost in thought. "You bastard, you locked it before I could see."

"Well, I will keep that secret to my grave." I wink at Roos, hoping she understands before this becomes an issue the entire night. "Let's head in and get seated, and then we can think of a funny quest to give Roos."

Robin whispers to me as we are seated: "Go invisible?" I try and shake my head.

I sit at the head of the table. "I think the app will only allow us to give quests that are realistically possible."

Anne whispers something to Roos. Roos, wide-eyed, shakes her head, mildly panicked. What could Anne have said? The two of them keep whispering and order a bottle of wine. Bart and Robin, meanwhile, keep tossing ideas back and forth, but none of them grabs my attention. Both of them are also drinking beer. This goes for a round or two of tapas that we share, and then Roos says, "How about you write that I have to be fed by you until the end of the last round?"

I nod and write down: "Get fed the rest of the meal by Pieter."

Roos looked at her phone, and her eyes opened wide. "Okay, so I got a QuestLife app, and on it, I got the quest you designed. And...." Her eyes opened wider. "That is one amazing reward. Pieter, feed me, please? Feed me anything you want." She swaps with Anne to sit next to me and holds her mouth open.

"Sure, let's get started. But that reward seems like a dud." I eat and feed her from the same fork. A thing of food for me, a bit of food for her. The last three rounds fed to her. There is no completion confirmation? Why?

She decides to order a coupe of ice-cream for two. I glare at her and say: "You know we could have been done, right?"

Roos coyly smiles and says: "But, we are both sweet tooths, so why skip dessert?"

I groan and say: "Fine. Let's do this then"

We get served a great coup with orange, chocolate, and coffee ice cream with enough amaretto to form a puddle at the bottom of the bowl, topped with candied orange. We eat it one bite at a time, and I can tell she is getting a bit tipsy. She must have been really exhausted. As she eats the last bite, we both hear the buzz of our phone. I open my phone.

"Roos, you shouldn't drive home. You all have drunk too much." I roll my eyes. "I will drive you guys home. Don't worry, I might not be the perfect BOB, but I am better than nothing."

The four shout: "Thank you, Mom!" I roll my eyes again and sigh with a smile.

I drop them off at home and get back at 11 pm. Exhausted, I get undressed and drop on my bed. I take a last look at the app. Let's see if I can give Roos another quest.

Quest on cooldown: 6 hours remaining.

I don't want to get a new target until we better understand this app. Okay, let's check the settings.

Variable, can be set up as you wish per target, including custom names.

Reminder for quests: on/off

Notifications: on/off

Cooldown on targets quest: invisible/visible

Colour blind options: off/black, white/green, magenta/custom
Custom allows for a custom choice of colours for perk tree and other layout features.

I swapped "Name on the quest" to First name and swapped cooldown on target quest to visible. The rest seems fine, let's keep it for now. Checking the perk tree again.

I spot a new thing in the tree: "See target Fetishes. [1 perk points]." Does what it says on the tin and adds currently hidden achievements. Do I want to actually know Roos's fetishes? I might have joked about it before, but do I actually want to? What would I buy with the other point?
