A small creature appeared with swampy green skin, a thin, very fragile body, large dark eyes, a curved nose, long, pointy ears, and tiny needles like dentures.

"Uh...it's a goblin?" I muttered, somewhat surprised.

"Agrrrrr...! A female!" she said in a high-pitched voice.

My astonishment was considerable, since goblins were considered exterminated over 1,000 years ago; I had only seen them in books that highlighted their low power and hideous appearance.

For a few moments, I let my guard down upon encountering such a strange creature. Furthermore, the goblin was wearing only a loincloth, and its body was riddled with hundreds of scars. It was very likely that I was in the presence of the last of its impure kind, something that could easily be ended with a simple blow to the back.

To my surprise, the creature dodged the attack by leaping into the treetops, out of my sight. I tried to see it, but all I could hear was its hateful laughter.

I grew even angrier and began casting various spells all around, trying to silence its voice.

"You miserable bastard... we'll show you your ugly face so you can destroy it."

After hundreds of spells hit the trees, everything went absolutely silent. I assumed one of my attacks had reached it, even though I didn't see its rotting corpse.

Suddenly, the goblin emerged from nowhere, launching itself at me, spilling its slime everywhere. With difficulty, I pushed it aside and then created a lasso with my magic to trap it in it.

"Agrrrr... no... noooo," the monster squealed.

Around the Goblin was a shiny silver ribbon that, no matter how hard I tried, I couldn't get it off.

"AGRRRR..... Take it off... Arrrr... it burns... take it off."

"I've got you, stupid. It's one of my best spells. Only I can undo it, and I'm afraid this is your end," I said, standing up.

Happy, I watched him wriggle like a worm, unable to escape. He'd caused enough trouble, so I'm going to have fun with him.
