Chapter 16 by AddickTara

In the cinema

Watching the film

“You okay, Brenda?” he asked, his deep voice sending shivers down my spine.

You nodded, trying to compose yourself. “Yeah, just a bit nervous. Haven’t done this in a while.”

Tyrone chuckled and placed a reassuring hand on your shoulder. “Don’t worry. We’re just going to have a good time. No pressure, okay?”

I smiled back at him, feeling a bit more at ease. “You’re right. Thanks, Tyrone.”

We made our way to the concession stand, the aroma of buttery popcorn and sugary candy filling the air. You ordered a large popcorn and a Diet Coke, while Tyrone opted for nachos and a Sprite. As we waited for our food, you couldn’t help but sneak glances at him. He was wearing a tight-fitting white t-shirt that showed off his muscular arms and chest, and a pair of dark jeans that hugged his thighs in all the right places. You felt a pang of guilt for checking him out, but you couldn’t help it. He was just so damn hot.

“Here you go,” the cashier said, handing us our snacks.

You took your popcorn and drink, and Tyrone grabbed his nachos and soda. We found our seats just as the lights were dimming and the trailers were starting to play. You sit down, placing your popcorn on your lap, and Tyrone sat next to you, his thigh brushing against yours.

As the movie began, I tried to focus on the screen, but I couldn’t shake off the feeling of Tyrone’s presence beside me. His cologne, a musky scent mixed with something sweet, filled my nostrils, and I found myself inhaling deeply, savoring the aroma.

Halfway through the movie, I felt Tyrone’s hand on my thigh. I jumped, startled, and he quickly removed it.

“Sorry,” he whispered. “I didn’t mean to scare you.”

I turned to him, my heart racing. “It’s okay,” I replied, my voice barely above a whisper. “I just wasn’t expecting it.”

Tyrone nodded and turned his attention back to the screen. I tried to do the same, but I couldn’t focus. All I could think about was the feel of his hand on my leg, the heat of his skin seeping through the fabric of my jeans.

As the credits rolled, I felt a wave of disappointment wash over me. The movie was over, and soon Tyrone would be gone. But as we stood up to leave, Tyrone turned to me and smiled.

“Want to grab a bite to eat?” he asked.

Yes or No?
