New Minions? Or Resources?

The next day dawned bright and clear and as it did, the events of the previous day remained in my mind. It was not a fluke..I had defeated an Adventurer. A Hero and had actually levelled up. Looking around at my cave, my eyes caught on the wooden box with a feeling of cold radiating from it and the steady glow of the eternal fire that warmed my cave without needing constant tending.

Huh, not loads to go on. But maybe something, as I rose I heard another ping and a small pop-up appeared once more.

Ok..that she was still being talked about was concerning. Shaking my head, I decided the first thing I needed to do was get some more minions apart from myself and Victor. Speaking of, I raised my hand and summoned Victor, the skeleton stepping forth from the dark portal without a sound. There was something different about my summon..the eyes were brighter, more intelligent and he stood less...less robotically. Then it hit me, my Necromancy skill had risen and so had Victor's stats...probably.With a nod that was more to myself than to Victor, I pointed to the back wall of the cavern. "Start expanding the cave backwards into the mountain. If this is to be my lair I want it to be more than one room where I keep all my possessions."

Victor didn't respond but did walk to the back wall and start beating on the stone with a rhythmic tapping of bone against stone, a progress bar starting to fill up. From the amount that was filling up each time, I had plenty of time to go about my own business. Checking my knife was in my belt, I grabbed up my chanelling staff and strode towards the entrance of my cave, looking out I considered for a moment whether to go up to mountain to try to get some resources like stone and meat or to go down into the forest and try to find those bandits that were in the area the day before.
