Ken woke to a banging on his door. He groaned and blinked slowly. Light was streaming in, he'd slept in apparently. He felt rather, well, drained, after last night. "I'm down...but at some point won't we end up with so many punishment's that we aren't really in charge anymore?" Ken asked.

"Maybe. But as long as we can agree to remove rules, we'll just stop before that point." Mira said.

"Fine," Sierra rolled her eyes, "So what's the game?"

"Poker." Mira said, "We all write down changes on pieces of paper and when the game starts the rulebook converts them to chips. How about we play until the first person is eliminated. Then the other two have to cash in their chips. All their own chips come true, but chips of someone else get twisted into the punishment."

"So someone is getting really, really screwed?" Sierra said, "Somehow I know that's going to be me."

"Then how about 4 rounds, but add an ante. I think it will be hard to convert to chips because what do we do when the values are really different or if it makes one wish multiple chips? Why don't we just each write 4 rules changes, get 4 chips that we know which is which but the others don't. Then we play with a 1 chip ante with 5 card draw. At that point you can raise or call, just one round of betting. What do you think?" Ken suggested.

"Ok, let's do it."

They let Ken get up and dressed, and most importantly get a coffee, before they all sat down in the living room to play. Each person was allowed to write out as many wishes as they wanted, but the rulebook would adjust the values so everyone was equal. Then they initiated the game and all their papers disappeared, replaced with chips.

Ken dealt out 5 cards to each of them and put one of his chips in. The other two did the same. He looked at his cards, he had a pair of kings. The other two called and it came back to him. "Raise 1." He said, putting a second chip in.

"Call." Sierra added one too.

"Fold." Mira tossed her hand.

Ken flipped his cards over and Sierra swore. She had a pair of threes. Ken took the pot, "Good start." He winked at her.

The next round he had absolutely nothing. Well, queen high. Sierra raised immediately and he felt like she was just getting back at him, but he let it slide and folded. Mira did too and Sierra cleaned up their antes.

Ken couldn't help but grin as the next hand was dealt and he had a pair of 10s and a pair of Queen's. With just one draw this was a really good hand.

"Raise 1." Ken said confidently.

"Fold." Sierra folded her hand.

"Call, or, I'm all in I guess." Mira put her final chip in. She flipped her cards to reveal a flush.

"No way, what the hell?" Ken couldn't believe it.

Next hand Ken had nothing once again and folded when Sierra raised 1. Mira immediately re-raised to 2 chips. Sierra called, a mistake in this case.

"Two pair." Mira declared, flipping on her cards.

"Fuck!" Sierra flipped over her pair of Aces.

The final hand, Ken had a pair of Queens. He looked at Mira's stack. She was clearly winning, he couldn't have that. Besides she had one of his tiles and he wanted to avoid a punishment. She had 9 to his 3 so the best he could hope to do was tie here. There was only one thing to do. "All in."

"Call." Mira said immediately.

They both flipped, "Pair of 10s." Mira said.

"Pair of Kings!" Ken whooped.

Sierra just groaned, "Wait wait wait...so you both end up with all your tiles, and I lost mine? So I still got screwed?"

"Yep, that's how it is." Ken agreed.

The chips all changed back to pieces of paper and per the rules they'd written they started reading them out and making them reality.

Ken, as the winner, started, "New Rule: Female roommates must shower or bathe together daily."

"What the fuck Ken!?" Sierra complained. Ken just winked at her.

Ken continued, "Edit to rule, The SRO can only punish women. Sorry, can't touch this!"

Northern Union University

Old Rule: All students are assigned a uniform. On school days from 7am to 5pm they are unable to wear anything else except their uniform. The uniform assigned to them will reflect their academic performance. The top 10% of students in each year will be given professional and dignified clothing that resembles uniforms seen at elite private academies. For students with lower grades their assigned uniform will get progressively more revealing, lower quality and more humiliating the further they are from the top of the standings. Student Rankings will be published on the 1st of each month and uniform adjustments are made at that time.

Old Rule: NU U has an official student regulation officer, or SRO. The SRO is given a uniform to wear during school hours which overrides any other uniform requirements consisting of a tailored black blazer with gold trim and epaulets, worn open over a crisp white blouse, a pencil skirt with black tights or high-waisted black slacks, panties and a supportive bra. All materials are extremely high quality. The SRO is permitted to supply their own shoes of any style. The SRO can discipline female students for violations of the university's code of conduct or for disrespecting the SRO. No evidence is required and violations are entirely the discretion of the SRO. Disciplinary action can include fines, community service, uniform modifications or corporal punishment at the discretion of the SRO with no appeal process. Students must accept the disciplinary action and complete it as told. The current SRO is Sierra MacLeod.

New rule: Any who makes a promise by putting a hand over their heart and saying 'I swear...' will be held accountable to keep their promise by the rulebook. If they break their promise the rulebook will generate a rule targeting them related and proportional to the promise they made.

Old Rule: Room 213 is a 3 bedroom suite with a living room, kitchenette and full bath. It is the largest and most luxurious dorm on campus. Sierra MacLeod, Mira Chowdhury and Kenji Whitmore were assigned to live in this room for the 2024-2025 year.
