Just do his chores for now

Boruto decided not to do anything just yet. His mother was still his mother after all, so it was unlikely he'd get away with anything while she was angry...

So he gave in and di his chores. Cleaned the house, did the dishes, took out the trash, all while Hinata's withering glance was on him.

"There," he panted. "All done."

Hinata rolled her eyes. "Go to your room, young man. And no more sneaking out."

"Yes, Mom," Boruto said with a bow. He scurried off to his room.

When he peeked downstairs later, Hinata had fixed herself a cup of tea. No one else was home yet...
