Chapter 6 by Ultra Bra Ultra Bra

How do you react to this manifesto?

You accept the manifesto and free your clones

Sophie 1: sigh "I just can't say no to myself."

You don't want to try and fight your clones while they outnumber you this heavily. Sure, on the long term you have a sizeable numbers advantage due to how much faster you can duplicate, but the longer your clones are in existence, the more time they have to develop a mind of their own and potentially rebel against you. It might be impossible to ever accrue enough clones who would be symphatetic to wiping out your belligerent clones.

It's clear that your duplicates were always intended to become their own individuals. Really, the only one of you whose destiny is to be a duplicate farm is yourself - spawning new Sophies into the world. You message your clones that you accept their terms, but need to make some additional arrangements.

If the general population must know about you and your duplication, you need to secure your existence. You were thinking of buying an airport, but that's going to have to wait. You instead purchase for yourself a brand-new-spanking neighborhood which had just been built on the outskirts of LA, and move yourself and your entire clone army there.

Each duplicating clone gets an identical house of their own - one of 150 available in total. None will be able to differentiate which of them belongs to the original Sophie. For added security, you set up a computer system to track comings and goings of Sophies between houses, and intentionally skew these numbers to make it seem like an incorrect house is producing more clones than the others.

As an added measure, you also have a wall built around the neighborhood, which you fortify and have guarded by armed Sophies. Even you yourself were surprised to find out that as the property- and landowner, this is perfectly legal for you to do.

Inside this walled garden, you make inordinate amounts of money. Only Sophies are allowed egress in and out - if clones want to bring in outside sex partners, they are free to do so in the apartment building that you also still own elsewhere in the city.

Now, all of your clones are absurdly rich, hot young women who prowl the streets is search of chic restaurants and worthy lays. In fact, the only Sophie who remains trapped is you, the original. You live in constant fear of being discovered. After one of your clones got randomly in a fatal traffic accident, all her subsidary clones collapsed dead immediately after. You figure that this will happen to all of your clones if you yourself die, since they are all subsidaries of yourself.

Your anxiety drives you close to madness. One day you find your hands trembling at the sight of a kitchen knife, forcing you to create a servant clone to do your cooking. Soon after you spend a small fortune replacing every stove in your neighborhood with electric ovens out of a fear of a gas leak.

Then you decide that this has gone on far enough. You'll go insane out of paranoia in a hot minute if you don't do something.

What to do about your anxieties?
