Chapter 233

What's next?
Back at the AirBnB
The AirBnB for the night is a compact apartment with six bedrooms, a small common area, and two bathrooms. Just about everybody is sharing a room: Mars and Valentine, Katie and Khloe, Jason and Javier, you and Charlie, Jack and Keegan, with Daphne securing the only room for herself. Not that you’re awfully jealous. She got the smallest room in exchange for privacy.
After dinner, you spend some time in your room finishing up an assignment that’s due before midnight. It’s quick work, and before long, you decide to seek out some company. The night, after all, is still young. You knock on Mars and Val’s door.
The door swings open a crack, and you see a familiar figure there, blocking your line of sight into the room.
“Well hey there sexy, you came at a good time,” Valentine says, flashing you a humorous smile.
“Don’t let him see!” you hear Mars call out.
“She’s changing,” Val says. “What do you think… shall I give you a peek?”
“Who is it?” Mars asks.
“Would knowing change your answer?” Val asks, glancing back over her shoulder.
“Uh… no?” Mars says.
“You absolutely sure about that?” Val asks, swinging the door slightly ajar, giving you a peek into the back corner of the room. Mars isn’t in view.
“Just a second, I’m almost done,” Mars says, and Val laughs, pushing the door wide open.
Mars is standing next to her bed, wearing nothing but a plain black bra and gym shorts. Her hands are raised in the air as she’s in the middle of pulling on a shirt, a dancer-like pose that shows off the sensuous curves of her body. You are, in that moment, struck by just how beautiful she is. Tame as the sight might be, somehow, you know that this is a sight you’ll never forget for the rest of your life.
“Hey!” Mars yells, pulling down her shirt. “Val, what the fuck are you—oh! Hi there, Alex.”
“Hey Mars,” you smile, giving her a wave. “Looking good tonight.”
“These are my pajamas,” Mars laughs. “It’s not a real outfit.”
“He likes it for a reason,” Val winks at you.
“Ignore Val, she’s speaking nonsense,” you say. “Have you two got anything planned for the rest of the night?”
“I’ve got a guy that I’m planning to meet, I’ll head out in about thirty,” Val says. “But Mars and I were thinking it might be fun to play a game with those of us around before then. What do you say, are you in?”
“Yeah, that sounds fun,” you say. “I’ve been stuck in my room for the last hour working. Who’s around?”
“Charlie, Jason, Keegan,” Val quickly lists off. “I’m pretty sure Jack and Javier are still out with their friends.”
“Daphne, Katie, and Khloe all got back not long ago too,” Mars adds.
“Awesome, let’s do it,” you say.

“I’ll go get them,” Val says, about to head out the room, when you grab her arm.
“Before you do that,” you say, suddenly remembering something. “What do you think about cashing in my side of our deal? I’ve got a favor or two saved up, after all.”
Val glances at Mars, and the two of them stifle a laugh.
“Smooth moves, dude. We thought you might ask on this trip,” Val laughs. “We came prepared.”
“That makes it seem like too much. It was a minute of work,” Mars says.
“Shush, stop ruining the mystery,” Val says. “So tell us, Alex. Who’s caught your eye?”
You pause, taking a second to think.
“Daphne’s been on my mind lately, do you think she might be receptive?” you ask. Your Japanese captain has been the object of your fantasies for some time now, after all.
{if DaphnePath == 2} “She’s told us about your little workout sessions together,” Mars laughs.
“They sound steamy,” Val says, nudging you.
“They’re nothing like that,” you say, but Val is already shaking her head knowingly.
She leans over to Mars and whispers something, who nods, and whispers something back.
“I think we’d hardly have to do anything to get her onboard,” Mars says.
“Wow,” you say, hardly believing it. Could it happen so easily?
“Don’t get so full of yourself,” Val laughs. “Anybody else you have in mind?”
{elseif Daphne > 75} “She’s been talking about you lately,” Mars laughs.
“And it sounds like things are getting steamy,” Val says, nudging you.
“It’s nothing like that,” you say, but Val is already shaking her head knowingly.
{else} “Mmm… I’m not so sure. It might be a tough sell,” Mars says, looking to Valentine for a second opinion.
“She likes you, don’t get me wrong,” Val says. “Just… maybe she doesn’t see you in that way. Not yet.”
“So you’re saying there’s a chance,” you say.
“If you keep working at it, I think you could have a good shot soon,” Val says. “I can tell she sees something in you.”
“But not for tonight, then,” you say.
“No,” Mars says, shaking her head. “Anybody else you have in mind?”
{endif}
“What about Katie and Khloe?” you ask, casting your mind towards the blonde twins.
{if WingStack > 1}
“Well, I suppose you do have more than one favor saved up,” Mars says.
“The question is whether they’d both be open to playing with Alex… what do you think, Mars?”
{if Khloe > 75} “I did overhear a bit of their conversation when they were coming back in,” Mars says.
“Perks of being by the door,” Val laughs.
“What did they say?” you ask.
“Girl code,” Mars says, shaking her head. “But… I think it’s promising.”
“Tell me,” Val says, and Mars leans over, whispering a few words into her ear.
“Oh, that is very promising,” Val smiles, giving you a second look over. “I like your chances.”
“Holy shit, are you serious?” you ask.
“Dead serious,” Mars says, and you take a moment to take in the fact, a giddy excitement already building in your loins.
{else} “The two of them… they’ve got high standards,” Mars says.
“But it’s not a knock against you,” Val says. “The twins have tiers of guys. They tell us about it. Most guys we know have zero chance with them. Literally zero, like, won’t even give them the time of day zero. But so far as I know…”
“You’re up there,” Mars says. “Along with one or two other guys on our team.”
“But being up there is not the same as being up there,” Val says.
You look at the two of them, trying to work out what they’re really saying.
“So… you’re saying there’s a chance?”
“Not tonight, that’s for sure,” Val says.
You nod. “But maybe someday. Being up there means I’ve got a shot at them right?”
“Keep telling yourself that,” Mars smiles.
You take a moment to think through that. That’s promising, right?
{endif} {else} “You only have a single favor saved up,” Mars says.
“And if you haven’t noticed, there are two of them,” Val says. “And from what I hear…”
“They’re a package deal,” Mars confirms.
“Damn,” you say. That’s…
“Hot, right?” Val says. “Pity it’s not for you.”
“I’ll get there eventually,” you say. “I’ve got a shot at them, right?”
“Keep telling yourself that,” Mars smiles.
You take a moment to think through that. That’s promising, right?
{endif}
“So…” Val eventually asks. “What’s the plan for tonight?”
{endif}
What's the plan?
