Izuku took a look at the caller I.D, before his eyes widened. "Hello?" Izuku asked as he answered the call.

"Midoriya," Iida's voice stated. "I apologize for the disappearance during the Sports Festival. I had received news of a family emergency."

"Yeah, we knew that much already," Izuku replied, obviously not going onto details about having helped Ingenium in a rather... Unorthodox manner. "You sound like you're feeling better though..." Indeed, while Iida's voice still had clear signs of stress, it was much less than one should expect, given what happened. They must have run a more in depth scan at the hospital already, and found that their bleak prognosis was no longer applying.

"Let's just say I just received some good news and that things were not as bleak as they initially seemed," Iida answered, sounding on the verge of tears. "...how much do you know?"

"I saw the news," Izuku answered. "Sorry, I know I shouldn't pry, but..."

"It's fine. The initial scans implied he would be crippled, but though the doctors are scratching their heads over it, a deeper scan showed that the damage was not as extensive as initially thought. Tensai might fully recover..." Iida told Izuku, who sighed in relief that things not only worked, but well enough to not raise TOO many eyebrows. "I'll be in class with this incident behind me when school starts again," he assured Izuku, keeping him informed of that due to to Izuku being the class representative.

"Got it," Izuku replied, before Iida ended the call. Itsuka then got them sparring for the day. As per usual... She kicked Izuku's ass in Quirkless combat. That said... He certainly didn't mind getting pinned by her when she was naked.
