You sneak out of the house, the sound of her laughter still ringing in your ears. As you make your way home, your mind is a whirlwind of thoughts. What will happen tomorrow? Will her dad tell anyone? Will she be okay? Despite the fear, you can't help but feel a strange sense of exhilaration. You've crossed a line with Ashley, and there's no going back.
The next day at school, you're a wreck, unable to focus on anything but the impending confrontation. You sit through classes, your thoughts racing, until finally, the bell rings for lunch. You head to the cafeteria, dreading the moment you'll have to face her.
As you enter the bustling room, you spot her at your usual table, surrounded by friends. She's laughing, seemingly without a care in the world. You approach hesitantly, and she looks up, her eyes locking on yours. The smirk from last night is back, and your heart skips a beat.
"Hey," she says casually, as if nothing happened. "How was your night?"
Her friends look at you with curiosity, unaware of the intense night you just shared. You swallow hard, trying to play it cool. "It was... interesting," you reply, sitting down next to her.
"Oh, you have no idea," she whispers in your ear, her breath sending shivers down your spine. She leans back in her chair, crossing her legs. "But don't worry, I took care of everything. My dad still like you better than Garvin."
