What else happens today?
More changes
Rachel left for work with a kiss and a coffee in hand. I watched her from the doorway, admiring the sway of her hips, the confidence in her stride. Same Rachel. Same body. Or so I thought.
I spent most of the day on the computer, half working, half procrastinating. It wasn’t until the afternoon that I got a text from her.
Rachel: "Do these heels look shorter than usual or am I taller today lol?"
I laughed, texting back something sarcastic. But the image she sent right after shut me up. Her legs looked longer, sleeker. Her reflection in the store mirror had a posture I didn’t recognize—taller, somehow. Not dramatically. Just enough to make me pause.
When she came home, it was clearer.
She stepped out of her heels and still looked nearly eye level with me.
“Huh,” I muttered, looking down at her feet. “That’s new.”
She blinked. “I didn’t notice until halfway through the day. My back didn’t hurt. I just… felt good. Stronger.”
I looked her up and down. Her arms looked tighter. Shoulders a little straighter. Her top clung differently to her chest—not bigger, just perkier, more firm.
We chalked it up to good posture, a better bra, maybe gym progress. But as she moved through the apartment, I found myself watching her more closely. She just… moved differently. Smoother. Stronger. Confident in a way I couldn’t explain.
Later that night, we curled up on the couch again, her in nothing but a tank and underwear. I ran my hand over her thigh without thinking and paused.
The muscle was denser. Not bulky. Just toned. Firm.
She looked at me. “Something wrong?”
I shook my head, forcing a smile. “No. You feel… amazing.”
She kissed me, slow and teasing. “I know.”
We didn’t have sex that night. Just kissed. Touched. Fell asleep together.
And I couldn’t stop thinking about how her body felt under my hands.
Familiar. But changing.
