The business trip

Around my six months anniversary of running the satellite office, I was directed to attend a business conference on the other end of the country, where I had to serve as a speaker representing the company. Those responsibilities were usually reserved for the top brass at the corporate office, so it was a good sign that things were going well for me.

With Kim now four months pregnant and two kids to worry about, I ended up making the flight solo. I took an Uber to the hotel, where I was surprised to find Jodi waiting for me in the hotel lobby.

"Wh-what are you doing here?" I asked in surprise.

"You have to be on top of your game this entire trip," she told me with a knowing smile. "We can't allow you to slip up because of nerves or tension."

I swallowed, catching what she was implying.

We walked together to the front desk, where I discovered that my reservation had been changed and we were booked as husband and wife. I popped a boner at the counter knowing that I would be spending the entire week in the same room as my sexy young secretary.

We walked hand-in-hand as we followed the bell boy up to our room with our combined luggage. Back home in our suburban community a middle aged man with a hot young girl might have drawn some strange glances, but at a business conference at a ritzi West coast hotel, we were far from the only mixed aged couple. I found myself wondering if they were all couples or if anyone else was here with their secretary.
