Chapter 16
by Verdant_Hatchling
What did he say?
“Are you ready to be Queen?”
Dalia was awestruck. She had never been asked something in such a manner and it shocked her, she was left speechless, so she just embraced him and shed tears of joy.
Damon was quite happy, “That’ll make me a King three times over, and that’s not even including that I’m the Dragon King.”
His first week in this world had given him so much. He was voiceless as he held her within his arms. The other women on his throne woke up, and seeing the pair of them floating in the air quickly jumped to crowding him.
Damon was left holding his veritable harem as he was floating there. He set himself down on the ground with them still grasping him, “Let’s begin the operation, ladies.” He was grinning as he was standing still.
“Let’s do this.” The group sounded similar responses.
Damon was bare of the women as he began to transform.
Quickly, his form grew and grew, and he was nearly bursting his home’s seams. He looked and was met with a grand notification before him.
Gazing at the notification, Damon was inflicted with a sudden surge of curiosity.
And with it, his Dagon body began to shift. The bones within rearranging themselves to conform to his thoughts. He slowly shifted into a humanoid figure, though he was well over fifty feet tall. Looking over his exposed skin, he saw it was coated with deep crimson scales, though there was iridescence in their hue.
Thinking back on his recent acquisitions, a grin appeared on his face, as he brought out the Blood Barrel. He used his newly acquired Blood Bending to draw an immense torrent of blood to coat his titanic figure, and after a few minutes of direction, the blood had formed a mighty set of armor, a full, crimson plating coated him, and slowly, the skulls of colossal Dragons were formed at his shoulders for pauldrons.
The plate armor upon his body was adorned with grand carvings depicting fearsome battles, and even more ferocious creatures, consisting of many mythologies in this world and his old one.
The Barrel was beneath the thick layers of armor, as Damon reached towards the ground, his mighty form grabbing Dalia in a gentle grasp, he set her within a pocket he created for her comfort which resembled an opera’s VIP section. “Alright, let's go.”
Damon opened a portal beneath the feet of all the women, dropping them softly onto the ground, which they discovered was a few miles from the walls of the Vynareth. He then had the vast armies of his accomplices appear, well over a hundred thousand distinct constructs under the command of both Elyra and Dalia, and as discussed with Dovei, thousands of Draconic beasts flew through the skies, accompanied by around forty large Dragons.
The vain kingdom would surely have seen this immense **** gathering, though with their heroes gone, they would be in a troubled spot.
And as planned, Damon sprouted his astronomically large wings, and with barely a flap, he was miles away. As his form floated above the lands he would soon aid in conquering, he shifted his figure once again.
A thought later, he began to grow. Within thirty seconds, his body was approximately two hundred feet tall, drawing the attention of nearly the entire kingdom. But that wasn’t enough.
Following his mind, he grew and grew, his expansion ceaseless, he was soon over a thousand feet tall. He had used nearly two million mana in his transformation, but it was worth it, as the sheer size of his form drew the desired reaction from the targets, as well as any others who would be watching on. And as he could see and feel, there were many.
Delivering the intended effects, Damon spoke, his voice boundless and shaking the earthen foundations of the lands he was floating over, “I am Damon Steel, the new Dragon King! Under my decree, this kingdom will join the Legion of Steel, along with the forces of various other kingdoms. The Chromatic Council have already vowed their loyalties to me and this Legion. Anyone who says otherwise may step forward and be rendered to ash.” He growled out, a mighty quaking overtaking the expansive kingdom.
No one would be willing to speak otherwise even if their heroes hadn’t been killed, let alone when they had no other securities. As the populace were deep in thought and fear, Damon continued speaking, “I will also be removing the current royalty who have allowed the destruction and mistreatment of the many for their own gain, and in their place I will be instating the hero Dalia Steel-Paw as the ruling Queen of what will be the new kingdom of Ursinae. Any qualms shall be spoken, and those with them will, again, be rendered to ash.”
A mighty rumbling broke out again, though this time it was the laughter of Damon, the godlike figure in the sky. None of the citizenry had any problem with removing the current king, and even more were pleased greatly by both Dalia’s being alive, and her soon-to-be Queenhood. Her story was well known among the populace, and though some were uncaring for her status as a demihuman, many cared deeply, as she had shown immense care for them.
She would make a good Queen. The people were sure of this. And for that, cheering broke out among the streets. The previous fear in the hearts of the people was replaced by cautious hope, hope for the future, and hope for their families.
